Dr David Moore Description
As a father of two young boys, David recognises how pregnancy and childbirth can be at once the most exciting and trepidatious time of our lives. He understands that this time in a woman’s life requires special, personalised attention and, importantly, a sense of continuity and availability. David strives to build successful and continuing relationships with his patients through communication, understanding, and honesty; providing expert opinion, respecting patients’ personal beliefs and values, and giving clear direction when necessary to achieve the optimal outcome.
In addition to specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, David has completed further study in the assessment and management of infertility, to be awarded Master of Reproductive Medicine. David assists couples with fertility problems as Associate at Queensland Fertility Group (QFG).
David is also a highly trained Gynaecologist, with expertise in minimally invasive techniques, laparoscopic (“keyhole”) surgery including hysterectomy, pelvic floor and incontinence surgery, and in the management of Pap smear abnormalities, menstrual problems and pelvic pain, including endometriosis.
He continues an active role in the teaching of specialists in training, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and has authored textbook and medical journal contributions.
David is well-known by both his peers and patients for his friendliness and sincerity, as well as his professionalism and firm commitment to the provision of quality treatment for those under his care.
