Your first visit usually takes place between the eighth and tenth weeks, and is the longest consultation, lasting about one hour. A complete medical history is obtained and an examination is performed. For some, the ultrasound taken at this visit will be the first time you see your baby. This scan provides useful information about the age – or gestation – of the pregnancy.
