Drawing Room Rocks
Reviews
An excellent walk if it's a first hike. Not to difficult but long enough to really challenge you. Would suggest for ages 10+ as some of the climbs are a little steep at points. The view at the top is simply stunning and well worth the effort.
Great short hike with rewarding views
Medium level walk. Any uphill difficulty is worth the stunning view.
Lovely walk, moderate grade. The views are excellent and the changes of vegetation a feature. We had a two kids with us and was 1.5 hours return with a picnic up the top. Highly recommended.
Only a half hour climb for a moderately fit person so 1.5 hours is plenty of time for this excursion. Longer only if you want to take lunch. Wear decent shoes. Steep cliffs at the top and no fences etc so not for children. Well worth the effort. Beautiful views to Pigeon House on a clear day.
Don't believe the books! it's about a 40 min walk with kids.
Breathtaking views and amazing rock formations.
Stunning views and an easy 45 min walk each way. Although it can be muddy and slippery, there are plenty of vines you can hold onto as you walk which makes it a fun walk. Parking can be crowded in the school holidays. Overall, great walk & great views
It's not a long walk to get to the drawing room rocks, however the initial stage of the walk is quite steep which may pose a challenge if you're not all that fit. However, once you're passed the initial climb it levels off to a relatively easy but rough track that leads through scrub to the rocks themselves.
It's definitely worth the walk, the rock formations that grant the location its name are fascinating and the views of the Shoalhaven once you reach the rocks are fantastic, especially if you make it on a clear sunny day.
We are in our 50's and average health. Took us about 40 minutes from carpark to top. Well worth it for the view. Stunning.
