Ebb And Tide Cafe

Got take away fish & chips, $11 for a serve of 5 fish pieces and the TINIEST amount of chips you have ever seen. Literally 20 chips. Not even enough for one person, it was such an embarrassingly small serve. And after waiting SO LONG for them to be cooked in the first place we couldn't go back and complain cos then the wait would have been ridiculously long again! Don't bother with this place.

My friend and I called in for a takeaway coffee and cake. After waiting for half an hour for the cake we asked for our money back for the cake only. We were told to ring and book next time!!!! For takeaway? Come on!! The blonde rude horrible chick said "You are from Bondi aren't you?" We answered no, from Europe. She said "typical Sydney people". Did you eat the cake? We said NO!!!!!! We need to leave now. What a primitive lower class location and staff. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

I visited this cafe for the first time. I can honestly say I will never visit here again. Food was bloody awful!! And I ordered I simple item and got something different and when I asked the staff omg the attitude and comments I got were not so welcoming. I asked for a standard item and I was spoken to as if I was speaking in another language. To top things off. After breakfast I felt soo sick with tummy pains and dizziness and it really spoilt my whole day/evening. I think it was the attitude that killed it for me. The young girl serving was the best thing about the place. How disappointing!!! No it's not even worth 1 star

Been a regular since blue moon closed, only for the well cooked chips. They don't look after their regulars e.g ask how you are then only as an opening to dump their negativity on you, 15 minute wait on coffees that come out well after meal and arrogance when complain. We go other places as well where vibe is positive like Aqua, Gambinos, grilled, Zambas however ebb and ride was close by at time. We stopped going now because of the chef and some whinging unprofessional staff

Going back 4 years ago we had the best eggs Benedict. Coming back soon for hopefully the same experience.

Tasty and well presented fish and chips for a beachside cafe but really expensive for the amount of food you get.
