On the other hand, fibre cement boards tend to crack and break down when subjected to the same heat. • are eco-friendly – ie: they have very low embodied energy and magnesia, their primary ingredient, is easily accessible. • are not susceptible to moisture, mould, vermin, termites and will not rot. • are chloride-free; thus, they do not "sweat" like previous generations of MgO board and do not cause corrosion. • are affordable when compared to competitor products. • have been (and continue to be regularly) tested to and have met Australian standards.
