Between 2015 and 2017, we cleared lantana from over 20 hectares of our forest. Over 30, 000 trees are now growing in what was once weeds.

Over ten years ago Noah started using pigs to clear weed infested areas, firstly old fruit trees and orchards, then moving on to larger new garden areas, then areas of a few acres of lantana infested gullies and ridges. Now Noah has facilitated his pigs to remove lantana and other weeds of over large areas of BMAD (Bell Bird Affected Dieback) affected wet sclerophyll forest – the Bell Birds use the lantana for nesting. The pigs have greatly facilitated the rehabilitation process by removing the lantana to allow access and regeneration activities to take place.
