Security staff are bloody rude! Im trying to have a night out witg my girlfriend and the security had to display their importance, treat me like im a car and hes a traffic contoller! Im a paying customer!!!

The ambience and food is good. The Quesadillas are great! Chicken and corn was the one I tried and was really good.

Avoid like the plague. The most hilariously incompetent and rude staff you will ever see.

Asked for a pint glass of soda water so the waitress literally filled a short glass with soda water and poured it into a pint glass. Apparently because the system cant handle orders of pints for soda water. Forgetting the fact that it’s f’ing soda water why on earth would I want a pint glass a third full of water?

Oh and they charged $4 for that absurd display.

Food was terrible as well.

Disappointing. I walk past this place to and from work every day so when it came time to organise a catch-up, it's the first place that I considered. Unfortunately, I did not make it in as
the bouncer stated that I was too 'drunk'. I allegedly stumbled while text-walking and this is irrefutable evidence of intoxication, even in light of perfectly lucid conversation. If he did legitimately believe this, then perhaps critical thinking and customer service need to be pr

As I've never been in such as a situation, it is insulting for it to happen at a dive bar after an extra long work day, wearing business casual. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hope someone enjoyed the drinks which my friend purchased for the both of us, though judging from the photos of the tacos, it looks like we dodged at least one bullet and I'm now certain that Mad Mex is a better Taco Tuesday option.

Great food & drink at el loco. The cantina setting downstairs is a really good date place. Get the pulled pork roll or the fish taco if you wanna get a bite.

It's a bar that can't make cocktails, with food that is pricy and terrible. If you are going here for anything other than a beer then you should think again. They do have a nice terrace for outdoor drinks.

Pretty good food, great selection of drinks and the best beer garden in the city. Brilliant on a nice day.

Worst Mexican in Sydney

I met a friend at this bar/restaurant for a catch up after many years and we both started with a frozen margarita, which was overpoweringly sweet, and with no detectable taste of tequila. We also ordered some corn chips with salsa and guacamole to accompany our drinks, when the food arrived at the table after half an hour (and only then because we had to chase it several times) the chips were stale, the salsa looked and tasted old and the guacamole looked like it was made up of about 10% avocado and 90% filler.

We switched to the jalapeño margaritas which was decidedly better than the first one but still with no taste of tequila... we each consumed four margaritas in total and couldn't feel any alcohol effect in fact we felt stone cold sober (my friend, who rarely drinks, should have been "under the table" at this stage)... we concluded that these were the weakest drinks that we had ever been served and each having over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry we both know what we are talking about.

We also ordered some pork and fish tacos, we actually think the name should be changed to "cabbage tacos" there were a couple of pieces of meat at the bottom of each of them and a slight dribble of salsa on the top the rest of the filling (90%) was raw cabbage.

We wondered if this was an obvious situation where the owners are squeezing the quality and ingredients in order to maximise profits with disastrous effects.

We won't be returning and I recommend that you try another eatery... or drink beer and eat the French fries instead.

Terrible service! Was asked to leave after a meal and a drink (one drink ) was only there for 90 min. In town from Melbourne for the arsenal game popped in for dinner. Dinner was nice but overpriced for the portion size. Sitting there after finishing my meal the manager and two bouncers said I was falling asleep and I had to leave! Outrageous as I only had one drink with dinner. Will never go here again! If your thinking of going. ..don't
