Hi, welcome to ELChemy Essentials. Thanks for stopping by to check me out!

I’m a single Mum with two challenging children (aren’t they all! ?). I mean medically speaking.

I’ve had a long and colourful career in administration within performing arts, tourism hospitality and not for profit sectors.

That was before kids!

I study Practical Philosophy… think Socrates, Plato and Shantananda Saraswathi.

I use my Essential Oils on a daily basis… every single day I’m learning something new about them so I guess I study those too.

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel and live in different places around the world, some more significant (to me) than others…

Whilst living in the UK in the early 90’s and heavy into journaling I coined the name ELChemy and hand drew a logo. ELC are the initials of my name. It’s been pinned to my cork board ever since! I’ve never known what to do with it or been able to throw it out but always knowing that one day it would make sense and get used.

As a young child I was exposed to alternative therapies by my grandmother… urgh…Cod Liver Oil mixed with something disgusting!

During the year 2000 whilst living and working in the NSW Snowy Mountains my friends, Sally Absalom and Lona Berlowitz introduced me to Homeopathy /Naturopathy and Yoga.

Since that time I have regularly practiced Yoga, meditation and relied on Natural Therapies first before turning to modern medicines - It just makes sense to me… we’re all just a bunch of molecule matter aren’t we? Plants too?!

It was a month-long trip to Nepal in 2002 where I really put things into perspective. It had such a profound effect on me that I struggled to process and return to everyday life here in Sydney Australia… obviously, I have in some way but the effect on me is eternal and deeply ingrained. I’m still figuring it out and realising that…. .

In 2017 my friend Melissa Free re-introduced me to Essential Oils, I’d forgotten how much I loved them, dug out my old books and went to meet Kerry Harper. I was floored with how much things had changed…. The oils haven’t changed (well the quality has). The ease with which you could now have this in your home and take control of your general health and wellbeing that knocked my socks off!

Little did I know where things were heading with my falling back in love with Essential oils. Me and my little people are having enormous success with our Oils – and I’ve barely scratched the surface.

Oddly I’d taken my ELChemy logo off the cork board and stuck it next to my collection of essential oils. Who knows why at the time.

After some time using my oils and asking myself for the millionth time “what the F*! ? was I going to do with myself and my life situation” , I discovered I was often stood there at my box of oils asking the question “what the F?*! am I going to do”. I was staring at the answer - 10cm from the tip of my nose!

I'd stuck my ELChemy logo next to my Essential Oils and just needed to see it……

One day I will be able to afford to unpin that logo and take it to a Graphic Designer for some polishing.

I consider myself lucky! I have some amazing people around me… neighbours, friends and family. I’m grateful for each and every one of them, for the path I’ve trod so far and continue to tred, to have finally found something that I really, and I mean wholeheartedly and passionately enjoy. . . that resonates with the very heart of who I intrinsically am.

It’s taken me some 20 + years for the puzzle pieces to come together and for me to be shaped ready for this.

So here I am Elke of ELChemy Essentials……

I’m the one with the big personality that shares anything and everything in my life that is positively impacting me and my little people….

I share what ever… WHAT EVER is having a positive impact in my life! Where I buy my free-range eggs to remedial tutors, beauty therapists, hairdressers, doctors, yoga practitioners, ashrams to personal trainers I use and everything in between. I figure if it’s working for me and my little people, maybe it will for you… if you’re open to trying things out.

What is knowledge if we don’t share it right? I mean, where’s the sense in discovering something so friggin amazing then hiding it from others?

So, it stands to reason that I want to stand on top of a building and share the ammmaazzzing changes going on for me and my little people with all things Essential Oils!
