Amazing heritage house, worth the visit

Beautiful house, worth a visit!

We arrived at a time it was actually closed. The member of staff who was closing up at the time asked us if we came all the way down to see the house and showed us around despite being closed that day. This was incredibly friendly and a really great experience also for my mother who was visiting from The Netherlands.

Somehow this house survives today - buried within the urban sprawl of Sydneys eastern suburbs. No expense was spared in making this place - and you can tell no corners were cut or dodgy contractors employed. The suspended staircase inside the house is of particular note. They also do high tea here - and you can find plenty of other interesting goings on at the Sydney Living Museums website. Staff are exceptionally friendly - good place to bring your family when you've been "everywhere" in Sydney city. Tell the kids "devices down - it's time to learn!"
