Now before we really jump into 2019's festival- we must absolutely take a moment to thank our amazing sponsors from 2018. Running a full scale street-festival of this magnitude and quality as a free festival would not be possible without the financial assistance of our incredible local business sponsors.
Asking very-little in return other than some mutual promotion, these people and businesses commit some hard earned dollars to the festival to allow it to continue to operate ...in a way that would appear that it was fully commercialized. With their sponsorship, the festival can remain focused on giving opportunities to Community Groups, Niche artists, Artisan stalls and hobbyists, Up-and-Coming live acts, and local folk in general, rather than going for attractions and stalls that can pay the highest fees.

So it's been a few months since FunFest 2018, and what a great day it was!! We're pleased to announce that plans for next years festivities have already commenced, and the date is...Sunday 7 April 2019! We can't wait to see you all there. If you'd like to be involved, whether that's as a volunteer, a stall-holder, Food-truck owner, or Artisan Extra-ordinaire stay tuned for updates on how to apply and get involved!

PAVE Festival is proud to support this prestigious national competition. Hundreds of entries have been judged by acclaimed poet Judith Rodriguez and the winners, runners up and commendations will be announced tomorrow. There will be music, readings, theatre and refreshments. All welcome for a free afternoon of entertainment.

Unfortunately, tomorrow's Emerald Market has had to be cancelled due to the high risk of thunderstorms, heavy rains, hail and high winds. Next market is Sunday 15th July. Let's hope for sunnier days ahead.

This Friday night, a very special event in Emerald. Weather Smarts features experts from NBN, Bureau of Meteorology and SES who will share important information and answer questions. Just a donation for dinner, no charge for the session!

Did you have the best time at Funfest? We sure did. Our funding for this years event was reduced by $6000, yet we pulled off the best one yet, with a committee of less than 20 LOCAL volunteers. We know that we had people from all over the city join us for for the day- to check out Emerald's autumn colours, the craft beers and fantastic live bands.
