This makes me so mad! Junk food should not be cheaper than whole food! The best way to eat around this issue is to prepare your own food. Meal prep is key! It's a long weekend, how many meals can you get made and in the fridge/freezer for days to come? Prepare snacks, have veggies sliced and ready to go. Then you'll be less tempted to grab the "convenient" junk.

When "I" is replaced with "we", even illness becomes wellness. I love this quote. It's so true. Doing things together makes everything easier. This is one of the reasons my classes are so successful because we do it together. We each support each other and we're not alone. We are great influencers of each other and we need to be conscious of how we're influencing. Who can you get out and do something healthy with this weekend? Go for a walk, prepare some food together, or find a practitioner you resonate with who can help you get on track by working together with you.

One of the things I love most about being a woman in business is the fantastic networking events for women. Women coming together to share their stories, learn from each other and then supporting each other.

Ah Byron and your casual attitude to road rules and safety. On my way to Byron Farmers Market this morning I had a lady pull out right in front of me on a roundabout without looking. Thank goodness for working brakes. I'm very relieved to have this little roller oil in my handbag for moments like this. Back to enjoying the markets!
I hope you have something to calm you easily in situations like this. Sometimes a good breathing technique is handy to know.

Worth a watch. If you're wanting to lose weight, do it with support from a health professional who encourages you to eat real, whole unprocessed foods. Not a company that provides their own branded junk

There are some awesome tips here. Self care is so important. But for the letting go, please don't let go of balloons. They are so awful for the environment! Try a feather or a leaf in the wind.

I had decided not to share this picture because... well... double chin. But you know what, this was a great night with two people I adore and I want to remember it. Yes it's not my favourite picture of me but like many of those photos, I know in the future I'll look back and be glad I have it. We all have our flaws and we can be self critical but don't let it stop you from saving precious memories. I'm on a healing journey. I'm not there yet, but I'm on my way. Have you tried having cold showers? Why would you I hear you ask. I like warm showers. But for the past couple of weeks, I've switched the water to cold for the last minute. It was hard to do to start with but now it's just something I do. I don't think about it because then I might not do it. I just switch it over quickly and bam, I'm awake!
So why would you do it? Well there are many benefits to cold showers. Some of them are: • it wakes you up and makes you more alert (be...tter than coffee!) • emotional control - the cold temperature can help your nervous system become more resilient • increased willpower (ok, you may actually need a little willpower to make yourself do it in the first place) • it can reduce stress and depression • can promote weight loss • improved lymphatic drainage • improved hair and skin (I've definitely noticed this) • boosts circulation • improved muscle recovery
