Epicure Cafe

After the high rating on TripAdvisor we had big expectations. We were very disappointed. Food was average at best, milk in our coffees was burnt and the place lacks atmosphere. Breaksfast for two with a coffee each came to $58... have to say that I won't be coming back again. Although service was friendly and nice, the food just did not deliver, and the prices are outrageous.

I visited this place as a part of winery tasting tours, but was disappointed by the food. I ordered fish & chips and the only good side was that they were generous with portions. The batter was too thick and mushy, and the fish was not evenly cooked and seasoned.

Slow and surly service

My group of 5 called ahead to book a table for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Despite this, it took the staff 35 minutes to serve out coffee and a full hour before we received our breakfast.

The manager's excuse was that they're unable to cater for walk-ins, especially on a Sunday, and that we should expect slow service.

The food and coffee were good. It's just unfortunate the staff and manager didn't live up to the same standard as the food.

I'll avoid going back here in the future.

Nice location and generous servings. Coffee was good too. Only visited once, but the bacon was tasteless in that I needed to salt it heavily to taste anything. And service was slow that day, not sure if they had some issues..

Amazing place. Took a tour group in after kitchen was closed and still put our 35 meals in half hour. Greta feed

Limited menu but with nine people we sampled most of it and everyone was very happy. My pick was the charcuterie plate of mixed meats and beautiful cheeses. The nicest touch was the chef coming to the table and explaining everything. A very friendly and enjoyable lunch experience. Also some great wines at the adjoining small winery cellar door.

Breakfast was hearty and full of flavour. Unfortunately 1 of my poached eggs was overcooked but I'm happy to give that a pass.

Great location. The menu for breakfast is not big but the food is very tasty. The staff is very friendly. The decor is very nice and the view is great.
