EQ Psychology (formerly BayPsychology) is a highly experienced team of accredited psychologists, with comprehensive clinical expertise in treating a wide range of issues.

Managing Director, Elena Hey, founded the practice in Port Stephens in 2009, after recognising a need for qualified psychological services in the local area. The practice has operated from Nelson Plaza Clinic – a GP Super Clinic – since its opening in 2010, and is about to open in a second location at the brand new Port Macquarie Super Clinic in September, 2014! We are also excited to be able to offer a range of online therapeutic services- see our online appointments page.

Our team works alongside an experienced team of GP's and other allied health providers, where we pride ourselves on providing holistic care which is second to none in improving the health and wellbeing of clients.
EQ Psychology is dedicated to providing a range of clinical assessment and counselling services, with a highly professional and therapeutic service delivery. The EQ Psychology team aims to provide guidance and support to its clients, helping them to improve their mental health, optimise everyday functioning and achieve healthy, happy relationships!
Our skilled clinicians are registered and accredited NSW WorkCover, Medicare and Hicaps providers. We have expertise in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brief Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing.
