Western Australia!
Dr Anne Bondi's very popular EQ700 'Horse Saddle & Rider Interaction / Principles of Saddle Fitting' Class is scheduled to head your way in February 2019. There's just a slight hitch.... we need a venue and.... a saddle fitter who is interested in collaborating.
The venue needs to include an indoor arena (hello summer) and also a classroom either onsite or nearby. The saddle fitter needs to have a good bounty of gear - a range of brands and equipment.
... Please pm us if you think you know the right venue or the right saddle fitter.
And...if you want to join the interest list then please shoot us a message with your email address.

As much as we love Telstra....?
We don't love that they aren't being all that helpful with sorting out our office line issues. The phone 'appear's to be working and yet it ain't.
So, rather than phone please shoot us a message here or via email info@equinologyanz.com
... Happy Monday <3

Know an awesome course venue in Australia?
In 2019 we will be spreading our wings and taking some of our course to other states. Here’s what we need as a base
- Shelter for up to 8 horses (rain and sun proof)... - Horses - we love the quiet ones for teaching on, save the jazzy ones for real life - Classroom space either onsite or nearby which has toilets and access to kitchen facilities - affordable accommodation nearby for students and staff
If you can know the perfect venue then we want to hear from you!!

Whilst sifting through the old Youtube files what should I find but none other than an almost 10 year old video made by Equinology showing you how to palpate for surface anatomy. It's a great video (it has no sound) and you are walked through:
- Printed diagram showing the surface anatomy - Skeleton showing the parts you can actually 'feel' - Placing the bone against a real horse and showing the part you can feel... - Removing the bone and showing on a painted horse how to locate and palpate the bony landmark (sometimes several methods for locating).
If you like this resource...and it is 10 years old...then you can imagine what Equinology is up to these days.
Thank you Debranne Pattillo for always keeping Equinology so relevant and creating (from scratch) high-quality resources. Even 10 years ago your material was highly relevant and at the leading edge.
SO cool

Capturing these moments in class are the very best. Watching them slow down, quieten, drift away. Having a job that involves giving back to these majestic creatures is such perfection. This lovely lady was certainley enjoying her session

** Equidays, Mystery Creek NZ**
Last year when we first arrived at Auckland Airport to begin the Equinology New Zealand journey I ran into a beautiful lady from Brazil who recognised the Equinology logo. She was an Osteopath / Craniosacral Therapist from Brazil and was on her way out of the country having just attended a thing called Equidays. Never heard of it. Her instructions were to go next year.
We then had our awesome stall at Equitana where again every second visitor... said to our crew 'you guys have to get to Equidays next year'. Since then every Kiwi student has echoed this advice. And when you have 48 Kiwis + 1 Brazilian tell you the same thing, you listen. So...
Equinology ANZ is going to be at Equidays this year!!!
The event runs from Friday 12- Sunday 14 October, which conveniently coincides with the completion of our 9 day Signature Equine Body Worker Certification in Taupo (more on that tomorrow).
I love, love, love that their focus is on education and that they have over 40 hours of clinics every day. Like WTF!?!? Horse Heaven.
Cheesy as it sounds, the best part of these events is always the new friends and connections made and the conversations we as a business get to have. The team grows, the family grows and the fun grows.
Tickets aren't on sale yet or anything like that, but I suppose that I just wanted to say that we are soooooo damn grateful for the New Zealanders who have helped us, guided us, supported, encouraged and basically just made life extra easy when we want to do stuff over in their magical country.
It was a scary thing to launch in to a country that (confession time) I had never been to. I know, I know. A travesty. But, as with all the best business decisions - it felt so right and aligned to take this step and every step of the way we have had Kiwis backing us. We have some wonderful things planned for New Zealand next year, and hope to edge our way down to the South Island too.
The fact remains - I adore New Zealand. I love our trips over there, the energy of the students and learning about the culture - which is so distinctly different from ours. Also, learning the truth about things like Pineapple lumps (my world shattered initially but I have moved on)
We love you all so much

Did you know that the wonderful Debranne Pattillo, MEEBW (and coincidentally our founder) is in the very, very, very final stages of her book 'Anatomy of Equine Bodywork - The Equinology Approach'. I was lucky enough to have a sneak peak and I can tell you - it's going to be a CRACKER. So many amazing images, so much information and days and days of entertainment (for those of us that consider anatomy entertainment...)
