Wow what a busy few weeks. We keep our Hat in SMH Good Food Guide, picked up a 2 Glass rating in Gourmet Traveller wine list of the year and at the Restaurant & Catering awards we won our category of Contemporary Australian Regional and the big one Regional Restaurant of the Year! Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere too. Perfect for that special lunch or dinner

The $45 lunch menu provided excellent choices and was a true bargain. Beautifully presented imaginative dishes that justified a round trip from Sydney. Staff helpful and welcoming. Washrooms could benefit from an upgrade.

The entire experience could not be faulted. The maître d' was welcoming and had the perfect sass to service ratio. I must also give credit to our waiter Emily who was superb in every way. We choose the four course option of which the duck was astounding! But each course delivered amazing flavours and before you knew it 2.5 hours had passed! If you have a sweet tooth, ask for the lychee champagne. #yum

Nice modern Australian restaurant with a fantastic wine selection. Cozy rooms with a historic Aussie feel. Would recommend the ox tail.

Winners of a Chef's Hat for ten years in a row the food we had here was at the cutting edge of Australian Cuisine, cooked with finesse and presented with flair.
The service was attentive and cheerful. The decision to open in Berrima must be paying off (the twice cooked soufflé has been on the menu for 13 years!) but they could easily hold their own in Surry Hills.
We paid $80 for three excellent courses and a side of seasonal veg (which was, itself, a tasty dish). Wine by the glass around $12 for an excellent selection of mostly Australian Boutique wines.

Great service knowledge of menu, fantastic combination of food taste and presentation. Ambience cottage style touch of modernity and 1 hat excellence.

Food is good and fresh and service ok, if a little over - bearing. Building is very interesting. It needs a bit of a refresh (stains on chairs and carpets) and is a little expensive for what it is so not sure how it would handle more competition. That said, It is of a standard that is rare in rural NSW.

Just excellent. Fantastic food and very good service. Worth the trip.
