Escolar de Samba Internacional was founded by Sashya Jay and Nubia Quele. They are both official Passistas with Imperio Serrano in Rio and amongst only a handful of Samba instructors worldwide who are accredited and endorsed by Carlinhos Salgueiro (Rio’s leading Samba choreographer and instructor) to teach his signature technique.

The aim of Escola de Samba Internacional is to foster the integrity of Brazilian Samba culture on a global scale. As part of the larger Samba Internacional brand, the school was created to in order to provide Brazilian dance education that is respectful to cultural authenticity and up to speed with the dance and artistic trends in Brazil.
