These guys know their stuff. They fixed my car and have tonnes of great advice.

Recently I took my vehicle to this company to have a performance cam installed. From the very first communication I found the company contact to be both arrogant and absolutely belligerent in their duties towards, what is, one of the most simple performance orientated tasks. I had heard mixed reviews about this company but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Many of the modifications I had made to the vehicle, elsewhere of course, were rubbished and was told that "this is why your car is slow". Later, after the decided to actually look at the vehicle they concluded it wasn't my previous performance mods but a broken ignition lead.

After completing the tasks they were to be paid for they told me the car was not running well at all. And they had decided to work with the older ECU configuration. A configuration that was totally mismatched to the performance cam. Although they apparently did not want to set the correct distributor timing to match the correct ECU configuration that they had been provided.

This confused me so I did some more research. I called back and inquired as to weather they had put the car in base timing mode, when they timed the vehicle. The reply I received was nothing short of Ludacris. "You didn't tell us that the car required timing"

Here we have an allegedly professional performance shop requiring that the customer instruct them on the normal installation of a camshaft.

When explained that I am the customer and they are the professionals and should consult with me regarding work that is required (And not leave me to research these things for myself) this was met with disdain so they were told to stop work immediately.

Not only is the car not timed correctly but idles at 2500 rpm and slams into gear.

Having dealt with, probably 10 different performance shops over 20 years I would rate this as possible the second to worst experience I have ever had, ANYWHERE, PERIOD.

I would not return my car to these grease monkeys, not even for an oil change. I will now have to pay someone else a completely new fee to check and re-do all the work they claimed to have completed. If you're running a performance work shop and don't know that a car requires timing after installation, you should be shut down.

The guys here have always been really helpful and have always done a good job on my cars when I have been in Canberra. This includes some major work and their advice has been honest, even if it meant losing a sale by sending me somewhere else if it would get a better job done. I can't fault their work or their professionalism and highly recommend them.
