Booked a truck for 2pm, confirmed over the phone in the morning. Arrived at 1:50pm to no one in the office. Waited until 2:20 and then called the mobile number left on the door. Told they wouldn't be back for another half hour. Staff member didn't arrive until 3:10, so we were over an hour behind schedule.

The staff member said the issue was understaffing.

Should have written this review 6 months ago - I booked wrong size vehicle by mistake - Vicky didn't have any 1.5tonners - so she rang around the local others on my behalf...and found what I wanted with another provider...incredible...this was all done within 30mins of visit - can't be faulted on this - and didn't even get this job

We booked the car and no one showed up at the office. I called the company and the lady said there was no booking in the system. She later explained we made a booking last night so she didn't know and said that was the reason why there's nobody in the office. I wonder what the business hour is for then?? She was rude and unprofessional. I've been using Euro car in New Zealand and it is way better than Sydney in many ways. And next time please do tell replied your customer "but anyway I'm sorry" so you're saying it's not your fault. Good luck with running your business. You have ruined my whole trip that day. Thank you and goodbye Euro car Sydney.

PS. Please tell your customer booking online doesn't help them anything!!!

Never go there. We had rented a SUV to go on holiday with friends. Once on the place, we could not find them (they are hidden in a building with no sign) and arrived 10 min late. They tell us that our car has been damaged in an accident and is not available. They only have a very small car left. We tell them it is too small, they can't do anything. They tell us that it is our fault, since we were late, and the car has thus been sent out for repairs. But one minute ago they had told us it was not drivable anymore anyway. We ask if at least the small car will be less expensive, they say: “of course, you only pay for the car you get”. The guy types on his computer: it comes out TWICE MORE expensive. They say we had a deal on the Internet, they can't do anything. It is 5:30 pm now, in the middle of Central, they know all the other car rentals in the area have closed. Eventually we went to the airport and rented a SUV there for less than their price. I guess had we been Chinese we would have been treated differently (which is not an anecdotal guess).

I booked a hire vechile well in advance of my trip on the 4th August to be precise ( confirmation email ) I booked a Mitisbishi Outlander (all wheel drive) I arrived at the pick up point post my flight into Sydney from Perth, once at the pinck up point I was told that there wasn't an Outlander available and I would be given another car.

I wasn't happy at all about this but accepted that without a car I would be stuck. I was then offered a Toyota Rav 4 when I considered that I was then told that it had something wrong with it. Then they offered an I35 but alais this was up for rego in 9 days (the car would've been back before the 9 days was up but no go. I was then given an upgrade to a Kolios Renault I accepted this but found it to be a rather uncomfortable car apart from the fact that when I adjusted the seat something from underneath the seat came away in my hand. I decided from there that this car wasn't going to be a reasonable replacement for what I'd ordered - apart from the fact the car had way too many bells and whistles.

I then went back to the desk - they told me the only car they had left that would come close would be a Mitisbishi ASX - which is only a 2WD not even close to what if booked in capabilities, in the end I just wanted to get on the road as I was driving to Port
Macquatie that day and any more hold ups I wouldn't get there in the time frame that I needed to arrive.

The whole trip driving this car was horrible - the car was a very poor replacement for what I'd ordered well in advance - as far I'm concerned a refund of the full hire will prevent me from taking to social media with my experience. The car I booked should be there - I've hired through Avis, Hertz and Thrifty and have always been able to get the car I'd booked, why is it so hard for you guys to get it right.

I will say I was greeted by a young man on the 8th at Sydney Airport and he should be commended on the way he dealt with me in regards to the car. He also advised me to leave feedback as he couldn't help with the issue which I am now more than happy to do.

Worst customer service.
Asian guy at counter was very rude and aggressive towards customers and me.
I waited 45 minutes to get my car from him.

Europcar has very manipulative and greed based customer care center.
They just wants your credit card details to get you in trap and sell their deal.
Once I booked with customer care and went to this center at mercure, this guy at counter totally rejected my booking and gave me a new price.

I will never go with Europcar again in life.
Bunch of crooks sitting in uniform.

Worst experience ever.

person at counter was so impatient and aggressive.
He took 45 minutes to put all things together.
He had just simply NOT MY JOB attitude as europe car call centre made a false combo for me.

Worst call centre ever who misguided and tricked me in cheaper rates but once I reached at counter, prices were different.

I would definitely think europe car as my last option in car hire again.

Good quality of cars, easy to rent, friendly staff, transparent financial policy.

I rent a car for going to Jarvis Bay. The car was in good conditions but I did not know how to drive bcz I've never driven car with automatic transmission. Europcar guy explained me how to do it moreover he said I can call him if any problems he will give a taxi 😂😂

I'm 25 old so according europcar site I should pay youth supercharge but in fact I didn't pay it because 25 is not including it. It was good surprise for me since it is around 40$.

Actually my first try to rent a car here was unsuccessful since I didn't have translate for my driving license. But I can understand why they declined it. Now I have translation and I can rent.

Booked a van for 7:30AM I arrive 5 minutes before they open, expecting to pick up the van and leave by 7:40 but that didn't happen. The guy at the counter told me that the van i booked haven't been wash so that took another 30 minutes then he kept on serving other customer after the van was wash and didn't process my paper work which could have been done while the van was being wash.

Long story short, booked the van for 7:30AM but didn't get to take it out of the rental until 8:15AM

Not the most ideal location but staff are extremely friendly and professional. Would highly recommend their service. I personally dealt with Nelson, so I recommend his service

Very dissatisfied with my last Europcar experience!
- GST charges over 10% discount offered.
- Van had its rearview mirrors filthy not allowing to safely change lanes until I stopped at a servo station to clean them.
- On pick-up tank was 1/4 (Renault Master tank capacity is 100lt) short as noticed by Europcar staff on checking vehicle conditions, he then suggested to return in the same condition. I am absolutely shure that if done as suggested it would be charged $75.50 extra, I returned it full and received absolutely no discount whatsoever.
- Reversing camera is just white, no image at all.

It seems to me that Europcar Parramatta is failing to check vehicle conditions as well as maintaining the expected quality.

By reading previous reviews I am not alone and strongly suggest to shop on other car rental companies. Used to received good service from Europcar while living in VIC but very disappointing here.

Don't rent from here. Go to Thrifty/Avis/Hertz etc. Staff are rude and evasive, one in particular (bald white guy) is very smug. They don't explain anything just highlight where to sign, don't discuss damage or tolls etc. A very bad position to be in if you are not familiar renting cars. I strongly suggest you rent from somewhere else, but if you need to rent from these guys take photos in their yard before you leave of the dash with km + fuel and all around the car with date/time stamp and email as an attachment to yourself to protect yourself from these shark and insist all damage is noted prior to leaving their yard, similarly do the same on return. Do not take any chances.

Horrible, had an unfair service and a funny outcome to make them change there minds...

Basically hired the vehicle for the weekend away trip, paid for the Hyundai Accent upon receiving the car opted out the full insurance with $0.00 access for the peace of mind.. On the way to view the car the manager asked for a great 5 star review.. the administrator person showed me around the car and simply stated don't worry the car is nearly new and you opted the full cover, handed me the keys and said goodbye.. (after all paperwork was complete)...

I got into the vehicle and saw that there was 2 bars (1/8 of a full tank) petrol missing.. i didn't mind and was in a rush so i left thinking that it was "OK'...

Upon returning the car after the trip and filling it full, the car was inspected by another administrator which found the fuel level to be the same level as i had received it (unintentional between filling and dropping the car off the vehicle naturally used some fuel..). She commented in stating i will be charged $3 a litter for bringing the tank not full (mind you it might of only been 4 liters or less...) in response i stated that "that's how i received the vehicle if not with less fuel and it was comedic that she would even bring this up over 3-4 liters of fuel.... her response was.. did you take any photos ?? i laughed at the concept and responded did she/administration team take any photos of there own?

After they called there manager.. twice (not present at the time) they kept on insisting the vehicle petrol will be charged onto me...

I then basically refereed to my $0 access insurance policy with them (which cost more than the vehicle hire)and stated it was not the money of the 3-4 liters as i paid for the additional insurance and that it was the customer service and the fuss that this situation had caused..

End result i asked them if i filled the car and brought it back to them and "Accidentally" hit every single car on the way there and back that i would incur /pay $0.00 access... Oh boy did they change their minds quick !!!

So my tip of the day be careful when hiring the vehicle from them make sure everything is photographed and get there $0.00 access insurance cover for the "peace of mind".
