The cinema is now really modern compared to what it used to be. Great facilities.

The lift at the front of the cinema was broken, not helpful when eldest boy is in a wheelchair!!
There was no sign on the lift giving us (the general public) instructions on who to contact, nor telling us there is a second lift.
A simple sign on the front of the lift would have stopped any confusion, and would prevent customers from turning around and going to another cinema.

Great place to go with your family. Little bit of traffic but it is worth the wait best food.

A great local Cinema with lots of theaters, so there are plenty of movie session times to choose from. Their seating is reasonably comfortable, air con usually at right temperature, vanilla choc top ice cream are always delicious and movies start on time. This Cinema is conveniently located in the Hurtville Westfield's building complex. You can access it either via the shopping centre or driving up to the rooftop parking and entering from the carpark.We have seen many movies here over the years and always had a pleasant experience.

Very nice cinema and handy, we would go more often but it’s just way, way too expensive, food and drinks, ridiculously priced too. It doesn’t seem that busy really, maybe if it wasn’t so dear there would be more patronage.

The seats in the normal theatres are the most uncomfortable we've ever sat in and very noisey every time you move. You could see many people were also uncomfortable. Will only go to V max or travel a bit further to charlestown for now on.

Seats are dirty. Everything is overpriced. Staff seem very unhappy at work and can often be heard complaining.

Gold Class is always great, great priced tickets and the staff are always lovely, polite and are always so helpful and professional. Highly recommended to use Gold Class every time.

Love it $10 tickets if your a member, clean great food... Love it

Took my niece last week. Impressed with the reclining seats. My niece found it cold and although she took a cardigan I had to cuddle her. I had no problem. The ticket seller was very helpful and punched my parking ticket. I will return

A little pricey for Newcastle but it's brand new, seats are great with great picture and sound.

Love the Gold Class experience at Event Kotara. As Cinebuzz members we get access to cheaper tickets, and having the amazing menu makes it dinner and a movie all in one for my partner & I on our rare date nights! Also a great option for birthday gatherings as an alternative to play centres for older kids.

Clean new cinemas with great seats that recline and staff are friendly. I would definitely suggest booking online and if you have telstra use 'thanks' for $12.50 tickets. Can be busy at peak times, the rooftop food court is great.

Always come here often, not happy with their staff at the ticket counter. Rude, definitely lack of customer service oriented, show no sign of respect and no apology was presented by him when he made an error. What a 'let down' experience before I made my entrance to the Gold Class Lounge. This is what you will experience when you buy Gold Class tickets.

Clean, comfortable cinema. Like most, a little over-priced, especially when it comes to drinks and snacks, but then no one's forcing you to buy them. Good sound and a comfy seat; there were deals on that could make it cheaper if you joined up. A cinema ticket gets you reduced-price parking but it wasn't clear how it worked; a bit more explanation would have been nice.

GOLD CLASS. Have used Gold Class at Portsmouth and really happy when the new one came to Miranda. It is a great venue to arrive early and have a quiet drink or hang around after the movie. The lounge and theatre are great and I would rate them 5 star. Unfortunately I was disappointed with some of their food service. My bourbon and coke censored of minimal bourbon which I couldn't taste, lightly flavoured post mix coke and a glass filled right up with ice - basically a very expensive glass of lighltly flavoured water. My waffles had a tiny single scoop of ice cream. Other food was fine but these acts of stinginess were disappointing.

Loved the Cars Movie, little johnny was happy.
Movie deals are great .

Lost my wallet in cinema 7. They wouldn't let me back in to look. Left my details and they told me they'd call back and let me know what they've found. No call. I rang back in the morning, after being on hold for a good while all the girl could say was "I'm not actually in the office at the moment but leave your details and I'll have a look and ring you back when I find out if it's been found or not". Never got a call back.

Start with the positive. The movie seating and arrangement itself was very comfortable and well laid out, best I've been too from memory.

Negative:
The tickets were very expensive, and so was the food and drinks, which you kind of expect from the movies these days, but what you don't expect is that after paying through the teeth that they then have you sit through 50 mins of ads before the movie starts. I had arranged for a baby sitter so I could take my father out to the movies, we had to leave before the end of the movie because the movie did not start until 50 minutes after the screening time due to ads, some of which were repeated, meaning I paid all that money plus for a baby sitter and didn't even get to watch the whole movie, besides that some of the food I had bought us to eat while watcing
Would have spoiled if we wanted to eat during the movie. What an absoloute joke. Very unimpressed. Thank god the seating was comfortable because we would have had a sore backside waiting for the bloody movie to begin. If we didn't have to rush out of there I would demanded a refund.

We paid $44 for two tickets before popcorn & drinks. They didn't vacuum between sessions and there was popcorn everywhere. Assigned seating was a pain as well.. we didn't get asked where we'd like to sit and the cinema wasn't packed but we still had to move from our seats because of annoying customers that want their assigned seat in an empty cinema. I'm going back to Rhodes clean cinema for $10 any session.

do you enjoy spending $50 on snacks, then this is the place for you.

Great cinema but don't bother buying food,because that's where they get ya.

Overall great though concerned with the state or projection maintenance with two issues; Crash midway through (Dr Strange) and fail to start (Arrival) in consecutive weeks when visited in November 2016.

Love the new cinema look and all the new theatres especially the Vmax cinemas. More seating and leg room, bigger screens and the extra arm rests means I don't touch the other person seating next to me, love it. There is restaurants and cafe places all around it and parking on the roof top right next to it. Go and enjoy it will blow your mind away, cheers.

Our sensory screening for August is The Incredibles 2 and is on August 19th at 10:30am. Please note that Incredibles 2 does contain several sequences of flashing lights which may affect anyone who is susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photo sensitivities.
