Events Cinema in Castle Hill is a nice one. It's big, offers VMax and just across a open terrace food court. It offers all newly released movies.

The place is your average cinema in terms of costs and food quality. But advertising a movie to start, in this case at 9pm, and the movie not starting until near an hour later is just terrible. Felt like I payed to watch an hour's worth of ads and got a free movie afterwards.

Castle hill event cinemas is trash, i would like to see the staff being more productive instead of sitting on their lazy butts all day. I am truly disgusted by their behaviour and their lack of respect to people that are both younger and older. i am appalled by their rubbish service and hospitality. although there are not many cinemas i would like to see event cinemas Castle Hill be closed down. I feel revolted when stepping into the cinema as well as being around or in close proximity of event cinemas castle hill. it gives me bad vibes and it reeks of people wasting their lives. I would gladly drive to a cinema in Adelaide than come to castle hill event cinemas thank you and i sure didn't waste your time but you wasted your time searching up castle hill event cinemas.

So firstly the cinema looks and feels a bit run down with some of the carpeting on the walls having massive holes/rips in them that have been like that for months.

But my main problem was the fact that you could hear the sound from another movie in your movie. So I was watching a horror movie, which as anyone who watches horror movies knows uses the power of silence or near silence to add to the suspence. So naturally when it got to those silent bits was when you could hear next doors sound the loudest. It totally ruins the whole experience when during these quiet bits all you could hear is shooting and yelling. At one point I could even hear the Telstra ad clearly enough to know it was the Telstra ad. Anyways the only reason I haven't given this one star is because half way through the movie the problem seemed to be fixed but I think that had something to do with someone getting up and complaining. Which tbh isn't good enough. Why should we have to get up and miss part of the movie to have this stuff fixed. Surely by now you've figured out the perfect sound settings to not interrupt other movies. Also considering the time I don't see why these 2 movies were even right next to each other in the first play. Luckily since the tickets were cheap i didn't bother asking for a refund but if they had been the prices they used to be I definitely would have.

No one answers the phone. Does anyone in Event Cinemas mamagememt read these reviews that show how bad they are?

Don't waste your money with Gold class, poor service (seems to be the norm!) gave me wrong drink and took them 10 minutes to come to me and a further 10 to deliver correct drink aling with a side of attitude from the assistant. Cheap seats that aren't that comfortable.

Unless you're gagging to see a film, wait til it comes out on DVD; a lot cheaper and enjoy the comforts of your own home.

Love Events massive advocate. Love being a cine buzz member. Always lovely staff and who can forget yummy caramel popcorn.

Have tried to book Gold class tickets on line numerous times and have been unsuccessful as the form will not accept the code. Then proceeded to called the cinema 5 times to speak to a customer service operator only to be timed out each time. Quality service....not!

Event provide terrible service, and only operate as they have the monopoly over movies in the suburb. If there were competition they'd be gone.
Ticketing: Buy tix ahead to avoid queues is a joke - you pay a per ticket fee for the privilege of receiving an e ticket and instructions to print it out (it's 2017!) and then arrive to find that the printout is not acceptable for entry at the cinema, you need to queue up at the box office to hand in your e ticket and have it replaced with box office tickets.
Food: $25 for 1 popcorn and 2 watered down postmix soft drinks?
Cleanliness: there wasn't any, I checked..
Service: not provided.
Free comedy show: 2 people serving at box office, day of major release. You do get to enjoy a free comedy show as you wait though, if you join the "online priority guests" queue and spend your time considering the plain English meaning of "priority guest" whilst watching 2 people serving the priority queue and the normal queue equally.
Overall experience: 2/10 (which doubles the high score of previous visits)

Good place but staff neglect to clean the cinemas as there was popcorn all over the floor and the bin was overflowing. But the staff are happy to help you throughout the cinema.

Gold Class experience is disorganised. Hot food is provided at room temperature somehow and I had some completely forgotten. Staff poorly communicate and trainee staff are not adequately monitored.

The entire purpose of gold class is to provide a superior experience for a higher price, it didn't.

Definitely advise anyone reading this to stick to the normal cinema and avoid gold class.

Love it! Clean and comfortable

Good clean and comfortable cinemas. Easy to park and locate, carpark lift arrives almost at the front door.
