Event Cinemas Hurstville

Very comfy seats and staff are generally well mannered and efficiency (although there have been a few exceptions). Goodplace to catch a move after work or on weekends and go for a shop around Westfield after.

I was very disappointed with Event Cinemas Hurstville. The staff were rude, obnoxious and arrogant. The two managers are complete assholes and i'll be sticking to Beverly Hills.

Location: Traffic lights aplenty so be ready to sit behind cars...
Service: Money hungry cinema manager: Dillan (female).
Couldn't even let me add $9 ontop of the current ticket combo meal voucher!!! Ridicolous...
Decor: Not bad, great comfortable seats :)

Bathrooms: Spacious & quite clean.
Value for money: Movie tickets as usual but the rest is as is with inflation (crazy beverage prices)...

Synopsis: Great seating but the parking machine barcode scanning was not working & the meal voucher upgrade was not allowed!!!

Went there on Sunday afternoon. It seems like they are short of staff. It's queuing for more than 10 minutes and the queue lane wasn't clear. I had a better experience in other cinemas.

I went to see Transformers: The Last Knight in 3D on the Vmax Atmos cinema room. The screen is excellent, but sound is not very good.

Whoever is in charge of sound calibration is not doing their job. I have a $10,000 speaker system at home, and that offers far greater clarity, effect and realism. Which is ridiculous, since these cinemas are meant to have mid six figure speaker systems.

As of 04/17/2017, they have refurbished the front and added the biggest Vmax in Australia. In short, your expectations should be higher by dramatic amounts if going to the new Vmax. Otherwise I don't recommend going to the non Vmax cinemas.

The main detriment is that the bathrooms are so far away from the cinemas, which would extend the amount missed if you had to use them compared to other cinemas in particular Miranda Event Cinemas.

A good renovation to a cinema. Great service never had problems.

What a wonderful upgrade these cinemas have gone through! With big comfortable high back chairs, clean bathrooms and tidy common areas, this cinema is now our go to movie theatre. We love the Vmax cinema with its dolby atmos sound system which is second to none.

Park on the roof for easy access to the cinemas and make sure you have your car registration number and cinema ticket handy when you go to leave to get parking validated.

Great place to watch a movie with the family! They even have Dolby Atmos in Vmax!

Comftorble seats, VMAX screen is awesome both the audio and visual.

Vmax is amazing. Massive screen, comfortable leather seats, sound quality is awesome. Staff are also friendly.

What can I say? Several cinemas, quick moving lines to get tickets and snack bar that sells coffee.
