Ladies, don’t walk the other way- run!!

From the moment I walked into the shop I was disappointed. I didn’t expect a glass of champers on arrival, but a “congrats!” would have been nice.

The sales lady was so rude, she had no interest in helping me browse (even though I was clearly planning on purchasing a dress).

I found a dress that I liked so I just went with it. That wasn’t my biggest mistake though-

Biggest mistake was getting them to do the alterations. Long story short, they quoted me a price on my requests and when they didn’t deliver they gave me a ultimatum, pay more or it is what it is! I never bargained with them or demanded other than what I had previously paid for.

To top it all off, when I went to pick up the dress they added 2 small bows on the back of the dress without my knowledge, I asked them to remove them (2), the lady took it to the back, came back out and said “here you go, they’re off!”. When I arrived at my wedding destination and took the dress out of the garment bag- what do you know? Still 1 bow on 🤦‍♀️

Moral of the story...if you get a bad vibe from a place, follow your instinct!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appointment today and the experience was horrible.
I went in with my fiancé. No one offered us a seat so he was kneeling on the floor whilst I was desperately trying to find a picture of a dress that I liked. I felt pushed to buy and also got the feeling that I wasn’t worth their time. The sales person ignored me multiple times and just walked off when I was in the middle of telling her what I want. I did try on couple very nice dresses and only at the end of the appointment when the sales person realized we could potentially buy a dress did she ask our names, any details of the wedding etc.
What can I say.. The sales person was pushy, rude, ignorant and so much more. I was so excited to try on bridal gowns and have this amazing experience that ended up me leaving in tears. Ladies do yourself a favor and don’t do it, the dream gown can be bought somewhere else!

We came here last night with my maid of honour and bridesmaid to try out some dresses. I must say I ignored the lowest rating from google review about the customer service. But I still organised a dress trial. Im sorry but people at google reviews weren't wrong about your customer service. It was the worst experience Ive ever had. Imagine a bride who's expecting to see the image of her self on the best day of her life, feeling ugly just because the assistant keeps on pushing what she wants instead of listening to what the BRIDE wants. She looks like she doesnt like her job, the most unenthusiastic and unpleasant person you'll ever encounter. She even mentioned that I dont need the opinion of my bridal party for my dress. It was so depressing that I left the shop almost crying. I should mention as well that my bridal party suggesting some dress choices which constantly ignored. As a bride, choosing a dress is one of the most important part of her wedding day. But the way your assistant handled us left us very upset and annoyed. Felt like she didnt care about us at all. This is just a mere feedback. I hope you train your staff to be more pleasant and respect the choice of your customers and their company. Please read your reviews on Google and take everything as a constructive feedback. Thank you.

This was my first place of trying on wedding dresses and they managed to squeeze me in on a Saturday and my two best friends and my mum came with me. I had Trisha help me find dresses, in all different styles and was so accomodating, kind and helpful. We had a nice spacious area where my friends and my mum were able to sit down and Trisha listened to what I did and did not want. I called up to let them know that I had found my dream dress elsewhere and the lady who answered the phone was very polite, kind and understanding. 10/10 for customer service, it was such a great experience and would recommend to others in the future.

The most unenthusiastic staff i have ever seen!!! I was accompanying my friend who was shopping for a wedding dress. The lady helping her seemed like she hated her job, and put in the least effort possible. lady with glasses, (who seemed to be the manager) was rude and really seemed like she couldn't be bothered. Over all not a good experience. We ended up buying the same dress the bride tried and wore at this shop, from another supplier. Its competitive out there and customer service can make a big difference.

I made an appointment on Friday with my mother, sister and 2 best friends. This was my first day of trying on dresses and i wasn't sure on what style i wanted yet. Our consultant Ange was completely rude the entire time. She kept encouraging my mum to compliment me more (even though she was) and said that i wouldnt like anything unless she ooo'd and ahhh'd more. She then proceeded to scold my sister on where she placed her handbag (keep in mind there was no where to place our bags and barely enough sitting for anyone!). When my friends were commenting on a dress, she then asked 'What they did for a living?' said in a tone that implied 'What would you know?'. She was extremely rude and did not listen to word we said. She placed me in a dress that totally did not match my body shape. When i told her my budget for my dress, she proceeded to only hand me dresses over my budget. She made everyone feel uncomfortable and you could tell she did not want to be there and was bitter about the whole experience. Her attitude made me NOT want to buy a dress from them at all! It was a horrible experience.

At first when i walked in, staff there were very welcoming. However the first thing that put me off was the lady kept selling me Pronovias gowns, got the folder out and it was just pronovias gowns, didn't show me around the room to introduce anything to me. Since I was on a budget, so I was mainly looking at sale gowns and the look on her face changed. every single gown i tried on she said i better not miss out, only one chance to get it, otherwise it may be sold and i would regret. I hate meeting pushy sales, and this lady was one of them.They do have alot of gowns there, but with that kind of customer service, no thanks.

I was worried about buying my wedding dress here with the bad reviews but everybody I dealt with was absolutely lovely and I found an amazing gown. All family and friends commented on how beautiful it looked. They were extremely accommodating with my erratic work schedule and everything was hassle free.

I walked in without an appointment and they "squeezed me in" for a fitting amidst their full schedule! I made an appointment after, and Angela D was nothing but patient! I must have tried on 7 dresses and she didn't seem pushy at all but sincerely wanted me to find my perfect dress. Thank you for such a great experience!

It was mid-week when my sister and I walked into the store. I was hesitant to walk in worried of the staff's approach toward me. My experience in some other stores was of a pretentiousness & snobbery nature. Alas, we were warmly welcomed by Ange. :) She fortunately had no appointments at the time so I was able to try on a couple of my favourite dresses. Ange has been in the bridal industry for over 20 years and was understanding of my requests yet so wise and honest in her advice. She made the experience memorable thus why I came back the following Saturday with my mum and I said 'Yes' to a beautiful Pronovias gown. I honestly felt like a Princess that day and the store staff amplified that feeling. Thank you 'Fashions by Farina' for how Special I was made to feel and so certain I was making the right choice in the dress design, again, due to Ange's words of wisdom and her experience. I'm now looking forward to my first fitting in July! I can't wait! :)

Ange was over it. She was miserable and did not want to be there. Huffing and puffing . She said she had been there over 20 years....
Because I didn't find the dress she constantly told me I was confused and didn't know what I wanted- which wasn't true as I went to Abbey Bridal and they were able to find my dress straight away.

At first the service was friendly. I randomly walked into the store during a lunch break and Angie was accommodating and I was able to try on a few dresses without having an appointment. However the service after a deposit is put down is very poor. My dress was still too large around the torso after the third 'final' fitting - more than 1 inch on both sides. Two days after I took the dress home, my husband rung and made an appointment and said that the dress was not fitting me properly. I did get an appointment within a few days - which was good. However, at the appointment, Vicki tried very hard to convince me the dress did not need further alterations and that it was meant to be like that. She kept asking why I wanted more alterations. She then went and got another person that worked at the store to come and say that the dress didn't need further alterations and they banded together to persuade me. We did not cave and Vicki paradoxically said that the dress didn't fit because I must have lost weight! (In the space of a few days!? I don't think so). Her saying that is pretty much an admission that the dress wasn't fitted correctly. The icing on the cake is that she then said the store won't charge me extra for the further alteration, like they were doing me a favour or something, even though I had already paid nearly $650 for alterations to make sure it was a properly fitted dress! The store does have a nice range of dresses - but get alterations done elsewhere! In the end they did it and the dress fitted better - but it was unnecessary stress after paying so much.

The lady that greeted us was very lovely but the lady that helped my friend was ugh!! Awful!! She got annoyed everytime me and my fren suggest something. She was very pushy and she rushed us to make decisions. Never ever buy wedding dresseses in this place.. You've been warned!! (Not a fake review by a competitor. Just a very unhappy customer)!!!! look at other reviews!!!

I went into the store having already read these reviews hence I'll admit I was a little prepared. Having done a lot of research I knew they stocked my favourite wedding dress brands (Pronovias, Aire etc) plus I wanted a 'one-stop shop' that stocked a large range and that was easy for me to get to (in the city). Stocking such a huge selection of dresses from many different brands is great as it meant I tried on a great range of differing styles as they cater for all different shapes and sizes. I saw very large girls through to petite so I'd say them showing 'attitude' is false based on my experience. They can get very busy, so try going early-mid week. I never felt I was pushed for time and I ended up trying on and falling in love with a completely different style than the one I was originally going for. I ended up coming back 3 times to re-think and be 100% sure on my choices and they would graciously and patiently reschedule me each time I said I wanted to think for another week. I also found their pricing to be very reasonable for the quality of dresses in store. If I was to add a tip it would be to take in an ipad or similar and show a collection of the styles you like so you have a starting point. As someone else put it: Don't be put off by these reviews, go in with a positive attitude and hopefully you will also have a positive experience.

I walked in today without an appointment and they happily fitted me in even though they were busy. I tried on several dresses until I found the one! I felt worried about buying it on the spot so they were happy for me to have a coffee and think about it.
Not once did they push me into buying the dress. I am so in love with it and couldnt think of a more wonderful place to buy my dress
