Grrat for the kids, walking, riding and exploring Kotara South

It was a very beautiful ride through the bushlands and suburbs ecspeacilly around Highfields, very fascinating thinking about the old railway. Do not recommend riding the whole track up and back from Belmont, havnt been able to walk for days.

15.5 km cycle way along the former Belmont railway. All sealed. Only 3 road crossings. A good workout down and back!

The track itself is picturesque, lovely and cool. Unfortunately there are many cyclists who use the shared path as a race track. There have been many reported serious collisions between cyclists and pedestrians and today after my mother was collected from behind by a speeding cyclist, there's another one for the tally. I wouldn't recommend the track for young children as it unsafe due to some reckless cyclists. I would not like to see the result of an 80kg rider travelling in excess if 40km/h colliding with a child.
