Fire And Rescue Nsw Station 061 Lane Cove Description
Lane Cove Fire station was opened 29 February 1916. The station was originally located on the corner of Longueville road and Gordon road and remained at this location until 1987 when the station moved to its present location as a result of the construction of the Gore Hill freeway.
The station's nickname within the fire brigade is the bat cave.
