Firefly Bar & Dining

Great Melbourne Cup luncheon yesterday. Food was superb and the atmosphere excellent (helped that we picked up 1-2 and 3 in the free sweeps.

Luckily the food was half decent otherwise I would have been barley given it a one stars.
Service = 0 stars.
Cleanliness = 1 star.

Out of the 10+ waiter staff it appeared only one had any experiencein hospitality.

I order sparkling mineral water, got table water and when I pointed this out I got attitude that someone must have mixed up the bottles - really?

I ordered the steak but wasn't asked how I wanted it done so I made sure that the waitress understood I wanted it pink or thereabouts but definitely without blood - when it arrived eventually (45 min or so later) it was of course bloody. I did get a pink steak eventually however when the pumpkin puree turned out to be just a few pieces of pumpkins but given all the issues to this point I couldn't be bothered sending it back again.

In between, the waitress randomly came up to the tables to ask if we wanted an Espresso Martini?

Moving on to the coffee - I asked for some sugar and believe it or not the waiter brought two cubes of sugars balancing on his fingers - very hygienic.

To top things of the bathrooms looked like they haven't been cleaned in a while.

Brilliant location food and service.... one thing though... 'down the back' it can get a little warm- may want to monitor the temperature on warmer nights!

Excellent customer service! The food is tapas style and share plates and very tasty. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavour. I recommend this place for a lovely night out

Really nice restaurant bar in Neutral Bay - A great place to catch up with friends for dinner. Interesting menu and a great selection of gins and a good wine list.

Pretty good food but the waitress forgot cocktails twice and brought wrong dish. It all tasted great but the waiting while the mistakes were made was a bit of a downer. Would go again for the food and hope the service was better.

The staff were very accommodating when i asked to change tables. The service was excellent and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. It's a shame that you can only stay for 2 hours.

Fabulous food, extensive menu to choose from. 4 of us had 8 tapas dishes (plenty of food). Terrific service, staff really knew their stuff. Good vibe - music a touch on the loud side (yes I'm over 20). It'd be great to graze at one of the outside tables on a warmer night and once the road/pavement works have been completed. Will definitely return..if only to experience those chicken pancakes again.

I held my office's End Of Financial Year Drinks here yesterday and it was a great night! The hospitality was amazing, the staff had smiles all round! The food was delicious - definitely recommend the zucchini fries!

Love this place! It's my local and always has interesting and unique cocktails along with speedy and knowledgable customer service.

Great food with nice athmosphere! Little bit too expensive but it's worth it!

For some time I've been a friend and patron of the wonderful 'Firefly', Neutral Bay's finest and best located bar/diner. 'Firefly' offers a carefully crafted wine list, creative rustic pizza and tapas menu and superb cocktail selection in a relaxed yet sophistocated atmosphere. It's greatest resource is the polite, informative and immensely friendly staff who make it what it is: quite simply the best. Thank you 'Firefly'!!!

The perfect place to chill. Cool staff, atmosphere & food. Can't pass on the Pinot Noir
