Dear Members
Today marks a significant milestone for our National Industrial Relations platform. Over the past 12 months we have been working towards building a dynamic, experienced and highly skilled team of Industrial Relations representatives who will advance members’ causes as we deal with ever increasing challenges coming from the airlines, competitors and aviation legislators.
Under the steady guidance of our Director of Industrial Relations, John Playford, our National... Industrial Relations team are now at full throttle, ready to advance the industrial issues of all our airlines’ members taking representation to a new level.
I would also like to thank John for agreeing to postpone any other plans following the last election to ensure the successful transition, with full training, of our current and newly appointed, experienced Industrial Relations Managers.
As announced in July, our National Industrial Relations Team includes Gemma Henry, our existing Industrial Relations Manager, Christine Donayre and Warren Boon, all having undergone extensive training with John Playford in relation to each airline’s IR policies and processes. Both Christine and Warren have attended meetings with airline management, and have had the opportunity to speak and meet directly with many FAAA members on a variety of Industrial issues, having already progressed resolution on some.
Your National Industrial Relations team is committed to providing a level of professionalism and drive in advancing members’ conditions as well as ensuring the Association’s standing as second to none.
Detailed Industrial Relations employment profiles will be provided to members shortly, however, suffice to say National Division members are in very good hands and should be more than confident in the level of representation they will experience.
