We are a Sydney based team at Forest Life, we are all about creating and designing with nature. With our own distinct style we can come up with many different solutions for the home, office or special event.

Our focus is our miniature ecosystems, the word terrarium is thrown around a lot today.
Terrariums were invented by chance in 1827-29, this phenomenon discovery meant botanists were able to travel to foreign lands to bring back tropical plants. They were able to transport living plants back to their homeland in these miniature versions of glass hothouses called terrariums or wardian cases, named after their inventor, Dr. Nathaniel Ward.
It was the best way to keep foreign plant species alive to study, these glass cases mimicked the environment of the plant’s native habitat and protected them from a highly polluted city during the industrial revolution.

Terrariums mature and thrive when the right environment has been established from the very first drop of soil and water.
A Terrarium Ecosystem is low maintenance.
Monitoring them is important, but there's not much you really have to do.
