Good stop for a late breakfast. Friendly service, good tea and coffee. Healthy nutritional options available on the menu. Nice place to start the day!

Service is fantastic, the atmosphere feels is a simple neighbourhood cafe. The breakfast items are very unique which makes it worth going to rather than just eating at home. The kale pesto bowl is probably my favourite but I am yet to have had a bad meal here no matter what I choose!

Chose this place as my last brunch in Sydney and absolutely loved it. The decor, the staff & the food were all amazing. Sad I didn’t come here earlier!

Cafe fitting for its location. As soon as you walk in, you are met with a modern styled layout that invites you to relax. The food quality is great, tastes delish and screams fresh. The service was good too. My only two cents was the specials wall is a little hard to come by depending where you sit. Overall worth a visit if you value quality fresh ingredients.

This place has been around many years, and always has queues for a reason. What earns this place 5 stars is consistency of food, coffee, and service. Never had a bad coffee or meal here. Service is exactly what you want from a cafe: never have to wait or ask for something, but never overbearing either.

Consistent, reliable, dependable. Like a Toyota, it may not be the flashiest or trendiest, but it will never disappoint either.

Love their Leo Bagel(?)! This was a recent change to their smoked salmon bagel and it is so good! I had heard their chai was one of the best but I was a bit disappointed, the spice was definitely there but it tasted a bit bland and weak. Overall really satisfied, the staff were nice and it is not too crowded inside.

I love Four Ate Five. The coffee is good, the chai is one of the better ones in Sydney (hot tip: ask them to make it stronger than usual if you're a chai lover), the food is reliably delicious. There's something to suit you if you want a hangover-cure, something sweet, or if you want to be virtuous. The only complaints are that you usually have to wait for a table on weekends, and it's a bit loud and crowded inside during busy periods. But of course it is - it's one of the best cafes in Surry Hills!

Terrible customer service. We arrived on a Sunday (11/6/17) around 11am knowing we'd have to wait for a table - totally fine/expected.
The experience went horribly south when the waiter at the door in charge of taking names was incredibly rude and barely acknowledged us. After 15 minutes of waiting, we had to approach her and when we tried to arrange a table for two, she gave us attitude and killed the entire experience!
We love the food but the customer service is HORRIBLE!

Had a chai latte and good quality brunch too. Funky cutlery and tea pots!

I really enjoy coming here. Sometimes it's hard to find a table, but other than, everything is great.
