I engaged Fidan Shevkat from Fox & Staniland during one of the hardest times in my life. I always felt that she was looking out for my best interests. She was personable and shared her wisdom freely. The Family Court process is very challenging with a minefield of obstacles, but Fidan Shevket was able to achieve the best outcome possible at the time without enduring further delays and expense. It was a result that brought peace, stability and security for my son. He had been caught in the cross-fire of a bitter dispute.

During the process, I felt that the Court appointed Child Lawyer and the Mediators were against us but Fidan persevered. Even though the Mother was being dishonest with the Court on many issues, Fidan stayed focused and didn't get sidetracked. Despite the Court being incompetent on our hearing date, Fidan and the Barrister were able to squeeze out a good result in negotiating a settlement.

I thought the mediation processes were a waste of time and money. They achieved nothing. Unfortunately, it is impossible to avoid these sessions as they are imposed by the Court. It would have been better if we could have gone directly to a hearing. But Fidan did her best to speed the way through these delays.

Fidan Shevket is well known as the very best., or anyway of the top 5, family lawyers in Australia She is smart, and although young, my brother who is a tax QC, says that she will VERY be clearly become a judge. Yes, good for all women in North Shore. But my ex EVEN said she was really very focused , courteous and smart. Everyone hates their family lawyer but I cant speak highly enough of Fidan.
