This series of oil paintings began after a second trip to the Daintree in 2017. The series celebrates the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest rainforest in the world.

THE OXYGEN SERIES
... This series of oil paintings began after a second trip to the Daintree in 2017. The series celebrates the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest rainforest in the world.
Trees absorb Co2 but when you look at how they behave in a rainforest, the on mass carbon sink becomes a cooling system for the entire planet. It has become my natural progression to work a theme from expressionistic forms through to semi-abstract and then abstract.
As in every exhibition I like to give back to a chosen charity and rainforest rescue is my chosen charity. An artwork is to be auctioned and all proceeds will go to the charity. - Rachel Carroll 2018
