Assist young farmers with land acquisition and start-up support
Service the local communities food needs
Provide the financial strength of a diverse group of producers for the supply to consumers, purchase of raw materials and labour.

Develop an effective, efficient and engaging model of micro agribusiness that can be successfully mimicked within the co-operative.

Values :

Through the teaching of ecological agriculture practices,
Development of a community driven model of economic support & ownership
Provide opportunities for local youth employment and training

2. The establishment of research programmes relating to;

Technologies and practical application for the rejuvenation and improvement of soil.
Focus on achieving low start-up cost, low running cost, low energy use and sustainable holistic farming methodology to support careers in farming for young people who have:
> no ownership of land
> no /little start up capital

3. To facilitate the education of the community at large concerning;
The Communities role in social issues concerning; Food security, Localisation & Sustainable food production.
Developing alternative economic models for enhanced Community ownership
Shifting community ideology surrounding the role of farmers in society, their need to have long term access to productive agricultural land and the communities role in ensuring that land is managed sustainably.

4. The application of the above research and education to:
Promote community ownership of food production and food security including collective ownership of agricultural land, primary production equipment, distribution systems and seeds.
Strengthen local food resilience, enhance local employment and career opportunities for young people and encourage the Northern Rivers position as a substantial regional food bowl
