Koh Kitchen great tasting food a reasonable prices

Perfect for what I needed to sleep between night shifts not far from work. Rooms clean, freshly painted, new carpet, beds comfortable and fantastic shower. Rooms are basic but had all I needed, staff were quiet and catered to me sleeping through the day and checking in early. Thanks

Absolutely shocking food. The people in the kitchen can't speak a word of English. My schnitzel was soggier than a wet sock

As a motorcyclist travelling Australian States, Gateshead Motel & Tavern provides a comfortable, safe environment for an overnight (or longer) stay.
It wouldn't satisfy prudish or those who consider others beneath them as this is a practical environment. The sounds of movements and doors is fairly evident.
Suits my taste and many others, but not the class conscious individual. And I like that about this place. It's real!

Rooms basic but clean. Free laundry and dryer facilities available. We would stay again.

Love this pub, its just a plain old local pub! Friendly staff Pool table, large outdoor area, juke box, bands & great atmosphere.

Booked a room to stay overnight in the area as we had something scheduled quite early in the morning. Location was easy to find and close to where we needed to be. We drove, so it wasn't an issue getting there. Check in was quick and easy. A small bottle of milk was given to us during check-in for tea/coffee. Room was clean and functional. The bed was quite comfortable. Pillows were too soft for my liking, but otherwise everything was good for what we paid. Had no issues overall, and would be happy to stay there again if the need arose.

I attended a birthday function on a Saturday night where the finger food platters where markedly overpriced (for reheated frozen deep fried foods), bar staff (one in particular) were not particularly friendly. The host was overcharged for an overnight room because, despite having booked it a month in advance, it was given to someone else and only an upgraded room was available. We were also told to vlean
