OMG! How can something be SOOO good? Their specials are amazing, but you can never go wrong with the salted caramel & white chocolate combo ;)

It's tempting to get more than one scoop because of the long line and the low price but stick to one scoop and concentrate on solely enjoying that one flavor instead of having a mix of many flavors.

Amazing gelato. Apple pie tastes like an actual apple pie in gelato form. It's mind blowing. Their cakes are worth every cent too, and great for special occasions!

Lemon meringue pie gelato was amazing!

Salted Caramel is a hands down winner. Can't complain about the Pandan & Coconut or the PBH Sandwich either!

In 2016 we were forced to take out one of our most beloved gelato flavours and we know you all noticed.
We received hundreds of messages, some sad, some angry but most just confused.. why would we do such a thing?
... Well, the time has come to explain everything..
About 10 years ago, a change in Australian law meant we couldn’t import real dulce de leche from Argentina anymore. It hurt to hear, but there was no way around it.
So we went on making dulce de leche gelato the best we could. We tried every tick we had up our sleeve but nothing quite cut it. It just wasn’t right.
So we bit the bullet, canned it from the cabinet, and decided to take on the huge task of learning how to make it ourselves... properly.
After a trip to Argentina, a big investment in some fancy equipment, lots of testing and many lessons from Argentinian experts, we are finally satisfied that we are now producing the real deal. Yep, this is as authentic as you can get in Australia and we can guarantee it.
Really a true dulce de leche is simple – you just need good quality milk, a little sugar and a few secrets. It is then slowly simmered until all moisture is removed from the milk. (not a can of condensed milk in sight 😉)

I lovveeeeee your ice cream don't get me wrong. However the quantity of a scoop is so so tiny. I left the store because I didn't think $4.80 was worth a scoop so so small :(

The Carriageworks winter night markets are tonight! and the pineapples for our FINE-APPLE are prepped, skewered and ready for a good ol' fire roasting. Once roasted, the caramelised pineapple is sliced up and served on top of our jersey milk gelato (made with milk from our own cows) and covered in warm Messina dulce de leche.
