Selecting the right #IVF clinic can seem overwhelming. There's a lot of info out there and at times it can be like comparing apples and oranges. The thing is, it's one of the most important decisions you will make for your family so we've put together a list of the top 12 questions you should ask clinics when researching your options. #IVFclinics https://www.genea.com.au/success-rates

It takes two to tango and men's health can be an important factor in a couple's chance of getting pregnant. Physical activity is vital to male reproductive health - in fact maintaining a healthy BMI is the top of our list of sperm health tips.

Reassuring news was presented at a big fertility conference in Barcelona this week. After a 20 year study, scientists have concluded that #IVF and other assisted reproduction treatments do not make a woman more likely to develop ovarian cancer.
The study, conducted by Copenhagen University researchers, looked at data from approximately 610,000 women.

Sadly, many of you will be familiar with #pregnancyloss. The Pink Elephants Support Network is gathering information on the support people receive when they experience #miscarriage. Their survey is just six questions and it will help them compile statistics to back up their case for more support. #Miscarriagematters #1in4

Have you (or your partner) been diagnosed with male factor infertility? Forty per cent of the time, the struggle to conceive starts with the man and, for a couple, the road to pregnancy is a two-way street.
Hear Matt and Sarah's story on Season 2 Episode 1 of the #ModernBabies podcast, from the discovery that Matt has a 'zero' sperm count, through to the ups and downs of their fertility journey. https://www.genea.com.au/my-fert…/why-g enea/podcast/episodes

More than 130,000 Australians have signed up to #DryJuly over the past 10 years. Going Dry for July has great health benefits - each year participants report sleeping better, having more energy and productivity and of course, no hangovers!
There’s also increasing proof that lifestyle habits such as excessive drinking affect fertility. Our Fertility Specialists say that while the exact number of alcoholic drinks needed to impact fertility is unclear, the best advice remains to reduce alcohol consumption to one or two glasses a day or cut it out altogether when you're #TTC.

It was great to see Sunrise acknowledge their insensitive handling of an #IVF discussion over the weekend. Infertility is a medical condition and telling people to “just relax” is insulting.
As Genea Fertility Specialist Dr Devora Lieberman explained every person’s experience of IVF is different but the majority of women undertaking treatment would not say they are addicted to the process. You can watch Dr Lieberman educate the Sunrise team on the facts of IVF:
