The team at Genea are extremely personable, supportive & empathetic throughout what can be a long and emotionally challenging process. I could'nt recommend them more highly.

Very poor communication. Appointments never on time. Rude staff and doctors.

Dr. Livingstone, Dr. Marren and all of the nurses were fantastic. Visits were scheduled very well and we were always seen promptly.

The only downside was the billing / clerical staff, whose communication I found to be quote poor. I was talking to a different person every time, and it seemed like asking even the simplest of questions resulted in so much back and forth. It was never as simple as "I ask this you tell me that", which is a shame, because there is a lot of money changing hands (stressful) and my wife and I are trying to conceive (also stressful), so it would have been nice if we did not have to deal with unnecessary additional stressful factors.

This has been not just a fertility / reproductive journey but a financial one as well. It would have been a lot easier if we were plainly told what would and what would not be covered by Medicare + Private insurance, what we would have to claim ourselves vs. what Genea would claim for us, that sort of thing. Take some time to make sure the patient understands that part so they don't stress about it later. Just because someone in billing who has been at this for a long time understands it all doesn't mean the patient does.

Update:
Communication issues persist, with a last minute change in doctor performing 2nd implant. Very little notice. Also was scheduled for procedure much earlier than we had made it quite clear we could get into Sydney.

Pregnancy test today first thing in the morning. Is now 3:16 in the afternoon and no word. Stressful.
