About Geographe Community Landcare Nursery Inc.

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery is one of many community nurseries in Australia growing local native plants with the help of volunteers.

Geographe Community Landcare Nursery Inc. Description

Our Busselton nursery specialises in growing the local native flora of the Busselton district, and for surrounding catchments. At the moment, we grow about 300 species, and of these, we list about 200 species. Our list is posted on our website.

Most of our production is derived from locally collected seed and cutting material.

As with many community nurseries in Australia, our plants are propagated and maintained by a group of enthusiastic volunteers. Our main volunteer days are Monday and Tuesday, though some volunteers attend the nursery on other week days.

We welcome volunteering enquiries, visits just to see what we do, and also visits from people wanting to grow our plants, whether it is just a few plants for the garden, to large orders for revegetation projects.

Our nursery is managed by a committee and we currently have three paid employees who oversee the management of the nursery and supervise our volunteers in a safe and friendly work environment.

HOW TO FIND US
The nursery is located on a Water Corporation property at 366 Queen Elizabeth Avenue. It is 2km south of the Busselton Bypass. There's a small sign at the turn-off saying "Community Nursery". Travelling south from the Bypass, turn right, and then follow the nursery signs.
