Gertrude & Alice is starting its very own book club - to be held on the 2nd Thursday of every month. The book club will be hosted by Lucy Pearson from The Literary Edit and she has some exciting books and authors to introduce us to over the next few months.
The first book choice is "Putney" by Sofka Zinovieff (copies available for sale at our store for $29.95)
... Bookings for the Club are now open through Eventbrite for our very first event on September 13th at 7pm. The $15 ticket price gives you some canapes, a drink on arrival AND for our first Club there will be huge GOODIE BAGS full of amazing things.

The Miles Franklin Award Winner 2018 - Michelle de Kretser.

It’s a strawberry muffin kind of Sunday. Perfectly paired with one of Dan’s babycinos. The Marshmallow had mysteriously disappeared before we took the photo.

Our G&A bookseller, Jordan Turner (@mrturner)got to visit Shakespeare and Co Bookstore in Paris this week on his European travels. Lucky fella.

Our mission to reduce take away cups is working unbelievably well. All thanks go to our customers who have supported the mission 100%. We are making a difference.
