Gilroys Hotel

Not as good as it used to be. This place has gone downhill in quality since the last time I was there about a year ago. Food was cold and not fully cooked. Feels like this place doesn't pride themselves as much on great food as they once did. Maybe just a one off bad day? Not sure.

Good Atmosphere. Fairly cheap pints and decent food. Can get very busy around 5-6pm.

I've been visiting Gilroys since the late 90's. A great relaxing place for dinner for a few drinks with friends. Super close to St Leonards station and friendly staff.

Good pub atmosphere , good for a steak and chips.

Great little Irish pub. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Good range of beers on tap which change frequently. Getting a table on a Fri night can be tricky so get there early! Chicken schnitzel is tasty and on special on Thursdays

Nice old pub with good food. Classic "old" pub decor which is clean and tidy.

So far the worst venue in Sydney. I have been humiliated and kicked out in front of everybody because of someone else's fault with the excuse "you are part of the group, therefore you are intoxicated". Truth is I was quietly chatting and sipping my very first drink without causing any problems to anybody. Didn't even allow me to use a toilet before I left, no refund. Worst management ever. Definitely not recommended. Do not waste your time with such rude persons, they don't deserve your money.

ordered a Chicken Parmegiana there last night and have been violently sick for 18hrs since. I have never had such bad food poisoning before. This follows my last experience there whereby their roast chicken still had blood on the meat. No matter what you do DONT order chicken from there.

Went there for lunch, my beef burger was almost raw in the middle. Enough to be disappointing, not enough to bother returning...

Gilroys is a friendly spot for an after-work drink. Conveniently located just near St Leonards station handy for those catching train or bus on North Shore. Good food choices with specials each weeknight and a large balcony area for smokers. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I have been to this place many times as I work near the pub. It's a nice pub but can get extremely busy especially later in the week for lunch.
The food is pricey and I wouldn't say it's all that amazing.
