Girrakool Blues Festival & BBQ is the Central Coasts very own annual world class music festival.

Girrakool Blues Festival & BBQ, 6-8 March 2020. Massive Line-up, International and Interstate bands, camping Fri-Sat,
Sunday Family Fun Day Aboriginal Cultural Activities.

Girrakool Blues Festival is an annual event named after the nearby waterfalls, and quite befittingly is Aboriginal for “Place of still water” i. e. Muddy Water, will be held annually on the first weekend in March by Xabc Entertainment.

In a New Orleans styled theme, the Festival will offer the Central Coast a wonderful day of quality, international, national and local blues and roots acts, within the beautiful surrounds of Mt Penang Garden Parklands, in a family friendly, relaxed atmosphere, all at a reasonable price.

The “Girrakool Stage” will be located in the amphitheatre section of the gardens. Patrons can bring their rugs and chairs to enjoy the afternoon of world class music, and soul food from our selectively picked stalls, including a unique American Southern style BBQ to encompass the theme.

During the breaks punters can visit the specialty market stalls, and listen to a roaming Blues Band.

Apart from the music it will have a strong Aboriginal content, with at least one indigenous band, Welcome to Country Ceremony, Women's activities and with the potential of short tours to the Girrakool waterfalls and engravings.

Xabc’s love of American Southern food will be on display at Girrakool Blues Festival offering a unique point of difference from other festivals, yet synonymous with blues music in the United States.

Texas styled slow cooked BBQ will be on the menu through our food stalls with everything from Beef brisket, pulled pork and chicken wings served traditionally with slaw and smoked corn and potatoes.
