Wow, what an Amazing and busy week! This years NAIDOC week theme BECAUSE OF HER, WE CAN - is a celebration of our Mothers, Elders, Grandmothers, Aunties, Sisters and Daughters for their love, courage and resilience in keeping our culture alive. Another layer to this theme is celebrating "Mother Earth" and all she provides for us... and like all mothers we would not exist without her🖤 . Girri Girra would to thank all our dancers and helpers this week. Thanks to the public who got involved, opened their hearts, respectfully listened and learned...and to those who sent beautiful feedback. Big Love to all the women in ours lives ❤️ #becauseofherwecan #naidoc2018

A Smoking Ceremony has many purposes, it is often used before entering a sacred area to cleanse your spirit from things like negativity, and/or acknowledging ancestors and connecting to country. Depending on the purpose of ceremony can decide on the type of native leaves or bark used. . #sharingculture #oldestcultureonearth #ancientknowledge #aboriginal #aboriginalexperiences #girrigirra #onemob

Tim is a Ngiyampaa/Wiraduri man who has a strong connection to his country and culture. The love of this culture, the land and his ancestors is reflected through his art.
Tim’s handcrafted indigenous tools and artefacts (for sale) are created from sustainably harvested native Australia hardwoods such as mulga, iron bark and wattle - include boomerangs, clapsticks, nulla nullas, coolamons, shields and didgeridoos.
Each creation has it's own knowledge and story to tell.

I have had the honour of welcoming Tim into the Kindergarten I work at on a number of occasions. We are lucky to have built a relationship with Tim and have him join our community each school term.
