Glebe Community Development Project Description
The Glebe Community Development Project was established in 2004 as a partnership between the University of Sydney's Faculty of Education and Social Work and Housing NSW.
The Glebe Community Development Project aims to:
work in partnership with local residents and organisations to build community capacity and increase social cohesion in the Glebe and Camperdown communities.
identify, develop and evaluate strategies to enhance community development initiatives within the public housing communities of Glebe and Camperdown; and

In achieving the above aim, the role of Glebe Community Development Project is to:

Work with, and through existing groups to achieve change. Develop new initiatives based on community need.
Support residents to participate in decisions that affect their lives and their community.
Increase resident's participation in a range of community activities and decrease social isolation.
Provide a range of information to residents and services.
