Glenrock Mtb Park

The next Dig Day will be held on Saturday 15th of September. We will be working in the area of Seismick Trail. The work will be rebuilding the whole trail and in particular reshaping the berms. They will need to be hand packed with shovel and McLeod, so the more hands - the better. The NPWS Field Officers have been on-site moving material to build this and we should be able to achieve a great result with substantially bigger berms. The NPWS Ranger, Kate will be providing a BB...Q lunch for all volunteers to keep the energy levels. Great news for this build day is the @specialized_au & @driftbikes are once again on-board with sponsorship and support. They will be providing extra tools and helping out with the BBQ and drinks! Meet on-site at Seismick Trail at 9.30am till 2pm Please wear shoes and your Yellow GTA shirt if you have one, if not we will supply Hi Vis vests on the day. Also bring some work gloves if you have them.

These Whales off our very beaches this morning and Beautifully captured by @blakeparkerphoto just reminding us how important it is to protect our ocean. Please join @glenrock_mtb_park and many more in the local community to honour our ocean and all its marine life this afternoon at Merewether Beach with a magical lantern ceremony to support stopping seismic testing.

@driftbikes are helping to host a Specialized Dig Day @glenrock_mtb_park this Saturday the 2nd of June.
We will be working in the area of the old clay quarry, below 6 Shooter jumps.
The work will be rebuilding and rerouting the trails from the Cliff Jumps and 6 Shooter to make way for the new Pump/Jump Track and Skills Precinct and provide better access to the area.
... Specialized & @driftbikes will be providing extra tools for the day and we will be putting on a BBQ and drinks for after the dig.
Meet on-site in the lower quarry at 9.30am
Please wear shoes and your Yellow GTA shirt if you have one, if not we will supply some on the day. Also some work gloves if you have them will come in handy.

Glenrock MTB Park, NPWS, Glenrock Trail Alliance and Synergy Trails are excited to share the proposed design for the Glenrock MTB Skills Precinct. This design is being used in the grant application being submitted tomorrow. We have worked collectively to develop a proposal that fits with the requirements of all of the parties involved. NPWS are in full support for the proposed design, and are just as excited as the MTB community about this proposal. Get involved in the upcoming GTA build day to help make way for the Skills Precinct works.
