Groves Guitars Description

My name is Russell Groves.
Since 1975, I've been extremely fortunate to have owned and played many of the classic guitar models of the 1950's and '60's.
Standouts include 1951 and 1956 Fender Telecasters, several early ash bodied Stratocasters, a dozen or more late 50's and early '60's Stratocasters, original Gibson Firebirds, Les Paul Juniors and Customs, and recently an original 1960 Sunburst Les Paul Standard and 1959 ES345.
This experience, I believe, has given me an understanding of how different combinations of woods influence the tonal characteristics of a given instrument.
I started "tinkering" with my guitars at an early age, having become infatuated with the guitar at age 11. I built my first guitar when I was 16 (1979), a pretty rough piece constructed entirely from Australian Rosewood.
36 odd years and many guitars later, I believe I have something special to offer.
The combinations of Australian and American timbers yields some of the most resonant, lively musical tones I've ever heard from an electric guitar.
This in conjunction with the best hardware and electronics currently available, produces what I believe to be an absolutely world class instrument.
