I started on the lounge room floor working nights, never worked at any of these big flashy design agencies, bombed my hsc didn’t do to great at design college. But I learnt from my mistakes, worked hard, hustled work, sat on a train with a G5 iMac trying to find a job. Then I realised when I was fired from my first job and came home crying that life is what you make it. I made use of my connections, asked questions from my peers, asked for help from my design hero’s. Now I ca...n say with confidence we have made the right decision. What a year 2017 has been for Web Directions and Handle with over 6 events for the year we have really been able to help clarify and re-imagine Web Directions events in a consistent direction. This year as far as content goes it saw a two track style of conference appear again which from a design perspective had its challenges but overall together really pulled through.
In an atmosphere decidedly unlike any you've experienced at a conference, they help keep the most engaged minds in the web and digital industry up to date with the latest currents of thought at the intersection of the web, technology and design.
