The Harrington Park Soccer Club was formed in 2002, with the first meeting of the Club being held on July 28, 2002. The original club consisting of only 4 teams (3 x under 6 teams and one all age team). By 2003, the Club had grown to 12 teams and a number of players were actually turned away due to the Club becoming too large.

Coaches and managers meetings in these early days were held in the Club President’s lounge room.

In a space of only five short years, the Club grew to 32 teams, encompassing all age groups. Now, in our 10th year as a Club, the Hornets have grown to be the 4th largest Club in the Macarthur District, with 55 teams across Small Sided Games, Junior and Senior leagues.

The club caters to the needs of both male and female players from Harrington Park and the surrounding area, with a large percentage of players coming from within Harrington Park itself.

In 2010, the Club changed its name to Harrington United Football Club to reflect the involvement of new residents from Harrington Grove. The Club remains a very strong family /community-oriented club, and is part of the Macarthur District Football Association. We strive to promote good sportsmanship and enjoyment of the game of football.
