Absolutely sweet staff. Had a great experience, purchased everything I needed at even greater prices. Friendly staff, always willing to help and offer their best prices. i am most definitely coming to this store now.

Customer service is ABYSSAL, and staff are unable to update the website correctly.

Reserved an item online, as the website said item was in store, received no conformation after 24hr. I called the store and was told the website was wrong, nothing in stock, call another store instead.
I called the other stores and tracked down the item i needed (1.5 hours wasted by now), called HM@DM to organize a stock transfer and was left on hold for an hour whist the store girl asked "franchisee" if they could do that.
She never came back to the phone. (2.5 hours wasted)
Called back to talk to management and was treated like i was stupid by the management, who would not organise a transfer, even though the other store said it was easily done and would take 24hrs to transfer once the paper work was done.
Finally management at HN@DM told me to shop online at the Newcastle branch, a moot point as i wished to see the item first.
Now at a grand total of 3 hours wasted talking to Harvey Norman employees, i will have to travel from Ryde to Bondi Junction to pick up the item they won't transfer.

All because I wanted to support aussie retailers.

Very slow response time. Staff delegation seems to be all over the place. Great variety and store layout but hesitant to go back due to lack of customer service.

Bought air conditioner online and selected click and collect from this store. Got confirmation email saying it had been reserved. Went to store the next day to be told it was actually not in stock and was in the warehouse, which would not be open for another two days. Salesperson offered a number of excuses as to why this happened and why they couldn't call me so I could pick up from the warehouse instead. Would never go back.

EDIT: Got a call the day after saying they could get it to me that afternoon after all. Good end result and I appreciate them following up.

Reasonably well stocked. Staff ok. Normal shopping experience..

Poor customer service over the phone. Called in to check product arrival status, got transferred to three different persons and had to explain the same thing for three times and then my call was disconnected. Waited and no call back. Called in the second time, again I went through the same thing - this time I was transferred to four different persons.

Great store, beautiful interior that makes you feel happy :)

Good coverage of products and willing to negotiate. However sales is very aggressive in pushing other items such as extended warranty

I had a great initial experience when I bought a new air conditioner with swift and attentive service, but then found out from the installer that it was not compatible with the power set up at my place and had to get a different model. I had to then chase them to find out when it was delivered. When I went in to get the refund of the difference the guy at the counter had no interest in serving me, walked away and left me with his colleague who prioritised a new sale over me.

Overall appalling customer service.

Checked online for a fan that was supposed to be "in stock", so I came all the way to the shop but there was none.

Apparently they are all in the warehouse and the warehouse closes at 5pm. How could you write in stock in stores when it actually isn't. The staff then had the audacity to say I should have rang before coming in. Well what's the point of having the stock-check indicator then?

Unattentive staff. They pick the ones looking at expensive electronics and ignore the other customers who were there first. I waited for 40 minutes before someone would talk to me, and I have approached a few of time prior.

Rude staff and non-existing customer service. Don't even bother coming here. I would rather buy over-priced stuff from other shops than to come here again.

Great customer service by Harvey Norman staff members especially computer department.

Recently visited Alexandria store with my 93yr old Mum. Amol served us and was extremely helpful, not only with the products we wished to purchase but making my Mum comfortable. His excellent customer service skills didn't stop there, he followed up by assisting me (on the phone) with the purchase of a new washing machine which was delivered exactly when advised, installed and the old machine taken away. I couldn't be happier with Harvey Norman or the level of Customer Service we received. Thank you Amol and Harvey Norman.

Had a surprisingly enjoyable sales experience in this store. We were served by Amol in Harvey Norman. We were looking at buying a new fridge, washing machine, tumble drier and vacuum cleaner. Amol had a vast knowledge of all products within the store, was very informative, helpful and kind. There was no pressure sales AT ALL unlike other Harvey Norman stores. He left us to think things over and gave us a very good discount. Highly recommend this store as the staff here are fantastic. Will definitely go back to this store again even though we live in Cronulla. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is quite big HN. It is not mega store but covers pretty much all range of HN products. The store is not big enough to room all the goods. It is a bit tight.

Looks awesome after the renovation. Also great service! Love my new TV.

Excellent customer service. I bought a HP Pavilion (15-AU649TX) 15.6" laptop. Asked a couple of technical questions and Sales reps was very very product knowledgeable and professional. I have a local franchise but would prefer this one at Alexandria. This Harvey Norman is highly recommended.

Going on holidays in a week, thought I'd need one of those gizmos that charge your phone whilst your not by a power point thing, so I thought hey let's go to Harvey's after work, into the electrical section and was greeted by a tasty young man who was all happy to help me decide on what charger pack would suit my needs the best... a great short experience

Staffs are very friendly. The store is usually not too crowded. Recommended.
