Ka Huna and Lomi Lomi Massage

Ka Huna (and Lomi Lomi) Bodywork originated in the South Pacific and was used during Rites of Passage as a transformational massage and healing system.

Casey discovered Ka Huna and Lomi Lomi massage in 2012, when she was introduced to the Sunshine Coast’s Ka Huna community at High Spirits Retreat. Upon completing her Level 1 & 2 training, she was invited to live and work at High Spirits, co-facilitating training courses and retreats. She stayed for 6 months, and has since completed 6 of the 7 levels of Ka Huna massage training, Reiki 1 and her Level 2 (of 2 -Advanced) Heartworks Lomi Lomi training. She has also completed her Certificate 4 of Remedial Massage.

Casey finds that she receives as much as she gives with this style of massage, and is awed by its power to heal. She brings to her treatments the intention to provide the space for the client to search within themselves for their own healing, facilitated by her physical and energetic support.

Practitioners use their hands, forearms and elbows to give a massage; It works by stimulating the natural flow of energy within the body in order to bring about changes in the physical and emotional areas. Stress and tension is released so that energy can flow freely once more. It is also deeply relaxing and rejuvenating.
