Join Hazelhurst volunteer guide Robert James for the opening of his exhibition “My Passion for Patchwork: A Journey through Quilting 2000-2018” at Moran Gallery Sylvania tonight, Wednesday 15 August at 6pm.
The exhibition will be on until 7 October.

This week at the Hazelhurst Film Club see the latest film from acclaimed director Paul Thomas Anderson.

We have a slection of amazing market stall holders joining us at the 60s Fair Fest next Sunday 12 August, 10am - 4pm.
Browse the racks of authentic vintage clothing or through the crates of vinyl to score that perfect 60s find. There will also be jewellery, knitwear, and homewares.

Don your best Beehive, wear a mini skirt, culottes, go-go boots, a box-shaped PVC dress, bell bottom flares with a fringed waistcoat or be stylish in a single-breasted two buttoned suit with a plain textured tie, highly polished black Oxford shoes, Fedora hat and a high-collared tan trench coat and head to Hazelhurst Arts Centre for its first 60s Fair Fest.

Enjoy the current exhibition at Hazelhurst Arts Centre highlighting the work of Marion Hall Best (1905-1988), Sydney’s pre-eminent interior designer of the 20th century. She was one of the first independent and most influential interior designers in Australia.
You’ll be transported back to the 1960s for the day. There’ll be authentic 60s vintage wears including clothing, knitwear and jewellery, there’ll be classics from the 60s with Endless Summer Beach Party, go go dancing and a classic car display.

This week at the Hazelhurst Film Club Annette Bening stars in a biopic about Academy Award winning Hollywood actress Gloria Grahame.

It is a lovely venue. Grounds are beautiful - a lovely spot to walk around, especially with children. There are bridges and a sandpit - a bit hit with my daughter.

However, the cafe was a bit underwhelming. Staff were not particularly friendly. I bought a bottle of wine for my Dad as a gift for Fathers' Day (it was in a bag) and a waitress come over to our table to say "we are not BYO". Food was nice, but quite expensive (especially considering they don't offer table service!)

Parking was awful! We went for lunch on a weekday (not in school holidays) and we had to park a block away and walk. Last time I went (during school holidays), the parking was even worse.
