NEW CARPARK ARRANGEMENTS
At this point I’d like to thank our friendly neighbours from the Hills District Tennis Association who will be accommodating most of our parking over this period. We ask that all our patrons are mindful that we’re using someone else’s facilities for an extended period and we ask that their property is respected.
... Please note the following arrangements which will be in place for the next 6 – 8 months: • A small area of our carpark (labelled Basketball Carpark on the map below) will still be in use. • Continuing past Hills Sports Stadium, the area immediately adjacent to the disabled bays has been set aside for staff parking. • Past the boom gates, we will be utilising carparks labelled Carpark 1, Carpark 2 and around the corner and up the hill, Carpark 3. • An area adjacent to the clubhouse in the top carpark has been set aside and labelled Tennis Carpark.
To ensure patron safety and minimise inconvenience we ask that all patrons please adhere to the following: • Please maintain an appropriate speed through all carparks and roadways. • Please do not park vehicles on roadways. • Please do not park others in. Please check before leaving your vehicle. • Please obey parking signs both permanent and temporary. In the interest of safety, it is likely that Council will enforce the permanent parking signs. • Please do not park in disabled bay unless you have the appropriate permit. * A kiss & drop zone is located near the front entrance. Please do not use the disabled parking as a turning back. Go up to carpark 1, 2 or 3 to turnaround.
As we said above, very exciting times ahead for Basketball in the Hills area. We trust you’ll work with us to keep disruption to minimum during the construction period.
Should you wish to make further enquiries or comments, please contact Steve Burke via steve@hillshornets.com.au or 02 9894-8944 (ext 6).

S T A D I U M C A R P A R K While earthworks have literally scraped the surface and the migration to our temporary carpark at the Tennis centre has begun, our carpark remains open this weekend. Please note however that with barriers removed, some common sense will be required to maximise parking spots and not park others in. We ask that you park around the perimeter in the first instance, at 90 degrees to the fence. Please be mindful of blocking thoroughfares, parking others in and pedestrians in the carpark.
Further details will be available on parking arrangements in coming days.

After many years of effort from many people, the extension to the Hills Sports Stadium is finally becoming a reality. With site sheds and a construction fence now in place and the foreman due on site from Monday 25 July, it's all getting very exciting.
While Hills Basketball will continue to operate throughout construction, as with all projects of this kind, some disruption and inconvenience is inevitable. We ask for patience from our patrons during this period with the payof...f of 2 new courts and updated facilities sure to be worth it.
Please note that, while the construction fence is in place and alternative parking arrangements will be required soon, the carpark remains open until further notice. Full details of ongoing parking arrangements will be published on the website and forwarded to all participants early next week.
Hills Basketball asks that all drivers please be mindful of pedestrians in an unfamiliar environment.
The project involves extending the existing stadium by adding two courts, with one being a show court with seating for 600. Upgraded change room facilities, office space, a new referees room and other additions also form part of the plan.
The project has a 6-8 month building timeline. For further information please contact Steve Burke on 9894-8944 (ext 6) or visit our website for plans http://hillshornets.com.au/stadium-extens ion

PLEASE NOTE Council has recently altered traffic conditions at the Give Way sign on Caterson Drive with the signs swapped to reflect normal T intersection rules as a safety measure. Please be aware of this change and be mindful that there are often children on the roadside throughout the Reserve.

Newly renovated. very energetic place, buzzing with life. Young basketballers enjoying the sport.

User

Stadium has been revamped of late and there is more parking and better facilities

User

Tucked away. Small, but undergoing renovations. It's a bit of of long drive in, and at night is difficult to see the road. Plenty of sports grounds. Something for everyone.

User

Great basketball stadium and will be even bigger and better when the new extensions are opened. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

User

The competitions are very poorly run lately. They reset the points and standings in our competition TWICE without any reasoning or apology forcing my team that was undefeated to lose all points. All to let another team join late in the competition so they can get more court fees from them whilst charging us for games that didn't even count.

User

The courts and facilities are fine, however the organised competition is very poorly ran. Here are my gripes:

1. The game clock never stops, even during timeouts, or the final minute of the game. (unless it's a finals game).
2. 19 minute halves (instead of 20 minutes everywhere else).
3. The organisers won't hesitate to change the schedule mid-season and reset the standings (happened to our competition twice in one season) without informing the teams involved.
4. The organisers won't listen to the suggestions put out from it's consumers.

It's obvious that the organisation is just out to turn a big profit, and not to benefit it's consumers.

User

Seating on court 4 not much cop metal bench tiered next to obstruction. Open flouro lights not a good idea if the ball gets skyed there would be glass all over the court. Yesterday's chips were poor from the canteen. Told to vacate seats as if we were depriving court 3 spectators only to see them go empty, someone on a power trip. Not to mention fouls going unnoticed. Apart from lack of parking great.

User

Decent court's. Affordable, friendly staff.

User

Good overall courts.
They are currently building a new stadium and parking is limited at the moment. Facilities need refurbishment. Staff is friendly. Team fees for league entry is pricey.

User

Good courts, showers available. Would be better with fans in summer.
