Hog'S Australia'S Steakhouse Nelson Bay

The food was not great at all, my grandfather an I ordered the double stake sandwiches they were tough and came out cold very chewy, my grandmother had a burger with wasabi on it and on the side didn't even put it on the burger or on the side also said wasn't nice, I ordered my 6 year old son a hotdog roll and was chewy and had trouble eating it also said it was spicey as it shouldn't have been.... also a bottle of VB is $7.00 and a Drink of coke is $9.00 can't see how soft drink is more expensive then a bottle of alcohol. Also got charged for the sauces for the meal. Only thing was nice was the curly fries but cold ...also booked for a seat for 4 people 2 days ago and went in an they said there was no booking for us under that name but we can still can seat you but still not good enough. Not very happy about the whole meal I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star I'd give a 0 if I could. Our waitress who served us was a nice girl. Was very disappointed.

The atmosphere is really chillaxed and warm. All of the staff is amazing and they facilitate even the most complicated split bills with patience.The seats aren't exactly the most comfortable and theyre a bit too close to other seats. The food is pretty awesome ! Prices are what you'd expect and they bring the food out fairly quickly and it's really fresh! The sweet potato chips are the best !!! If you're in the area and want to chill out with good food and drinks, definitely come here.

Staff were very nice, food was excellent. Seated in a second and served the next. I had beef ribs that I couldn't finish. The meat fell off the bone easily and tasted perfectly. Had the great hard BBQ flavour that beef ribs should always have. It was just really expensive.

Only dined here once but the food was very good and was complimented by extremely efficient and prompt service. The location is great with views across the Port Stephens waterways and the marina precinct. A wide selection of Entrees, Main meals and Desserts is available along with a wide range of drinks from the bar. Private booths are available for large groups celebrating Birthdays etc. Highly recommend Hogs Breath Nelson Bay to all.

Waitresses and staff were pleasant and happy, however had to wait and actually get up and ask for our water. I got the lite prime rib. Even tho it was very tender and cooked perfectly, it was quite fatty and definitely not worth the price of $30. It was just like a thick slice of beef. I should of gone for the full steak, which was a few $$ dearer. Outlook was lovely on the deck. I would go back again to see if it's any better with the other meal and if service has improved

Food is good, servers are generally friendly, however we found that the service was severely lacking. there was one person (possibly a manager or more senior staff) that was very helpful, but the general waitresses never got back to us with drinks or other requests when asked. The place was clean. Good for groups, couples and families. Good variety of food as well.

Absolutely pathetic, just waited for over 50 minutes and still no meal. Waitress said she could re-order,,,,,,,,,,,, Not good enough Hog's Breath,,,,,,,, thanks to your incompetent staff I'm now late for work. NOT HAPPY.

Sometimes great food sometimes ordinary food. Sometimes great staff sometimes ordinary staff. Sometimes great cocktails sometimes ordinary cocktails. Sometimes clean sometimes dirty.
Like every other Hogs Breath it's really inconsistent and you never know what you're going to get so expect to be disappointed and half the time you'll be pleasantly surprised. The views are awesome over the marina.
